The hiring of Seahawks assistant G.M. Nolan Teasley as the Vikings’ new G.M. will carry a specific benefit for his former team.
Per the league, Teasley qualifies as a diverse candidate under the NFL provision that gives the former team of a newly-hired G.M. or head coach a pair of third-round compensatory draft picks.

A white candidate has to be two third round draft picks better to get the job. I would call that racist,
I don’t know if I would flattered that I am worth two third round draft picks, or if they value the “cost” to replace me as just two third round pics.

Also, while supposedly Teasley's father is "black", Nolan looks about as black as Elizabeth Warren looks Cherokee.
This would be a disincentive to hiring the minority candidate, since the team they hire him from receives the picks.
