Best article on this subject I have ever read. Ever. Hands down.

I have long believed that cognitive dissonance is the pathology behind the outlandish behavior we see in Leftists. Can anyone-ANYONE-say they have ever seen similar behavior in any Conservative, anywhere, ever? No, they can't.

But that isn't true with the Left.

They all seem absolutely insane-all of them.

Detached from reality. Impervious to logic. We ALL have degrees of cognitive dissonance in us, the same way we all inherently have the potential of evil in ourselves.

For Conservatives, that cognitive dissonance we occasionally have is like a small ball bearing or a marble rolling around in our skulls. When that rolling object strikes a mooring line of reality, it can occasionally sever it, even in Conservatives. It's just a fact of life. The great thing is, we have enough mooring lines that tie us to that pier of reality, that when one gets severed by some flavor of cognitive dissonance, it is only one, and the other lines hold us fast to that reality-based pier.

For Leftists, that cognitive dissonance they have rolling around in their heads is the size of a bowling ball. When that rolls around in their skulls, like a chain shot of cannon fired into a ship of sail, it takes out not just one hawser, it takes out all of them at once, and not just the hawsers that secure that ship to the pier, it takes out almost all of them, along with the masts, the sails, the decking, and everything else reality based on that pier, and they are set adrift in a reality that only exists in their minds.

It is why when you see them as humans that are literally barking at ICE agents, the only word that seems to fit them besides batshit crazy, is "Untethered".

Untethered to reality.
