Michael B. Jordan closed out Amazon‘s Upfront presentation at the Beacon Theatre in New York on Monday not as an actor, but as a producer with a growing slate of major television projects. Through his production company Outlier Society, Jordan unveiled three series in development for Prime Video: The Greatest, Delphi, and Fourth Wing, each representing a different register of his ambitions behind the camera.
The most culturally significant announcement of the three is The Greatest, a biographical series about Muhammad Ali that marks the first project about the boxing legend’s life to receive authorization from his estate.
Created by Ben Watkins, the show will trace Ali’s story from his origins as Cassius Clay through his iconic career. Lonnie Ali, wife of the late Ali, is serving as consultant on the project and appeared onstage at the Upfront to speak to her trust in Jordan and his team. Jordan also brought out Jaalen Best, the young actor cast in the lead role, alongside a brief sizzle reel. For Jordan, a man whose career has been shaped in no small part by boxing narratives, producing the definitive authorized Ali story carries obvious weight.
Delphi occupies familiar territory. The Creed spinoff is being developed alongside Ryan Coogler, Jordan’s most important creative collaborator, the director who cast Jordan as Adonis Creed and built a franchise around that performance...
The third announcement was the most unexpected. Fourth Wing, an adaptation of author Rebecca Yarros’ best-selling romantasy novel, has been officially ordered to series at Amazon after years in development. Outlier Society acquired the rights to Yarros’ The Empyrean series before the first book was even published in May 2023, a bet that has since been vindicated by the novel’s massive commercial success...

At the Atlanta Olympics Ali was lighting the torch but was shaking bad from Parkinson’s. The crowd was cheering. I felt sad because the Parkinson’s likely developed due to boxing. We ought to ban boxing.
He wasn’t anti-war, he just wouldn’t serve in the military for America, whites and Christians, his beliefs were ugly but people and the media seemed to all be in sync that he had to be pushed forward and portrayed as the positive black role model/hero.
Cassius Clay...
Anyone that would associate with Elijah Muhammad (born Elijah Robert Poole, later Elijah Karriem) and Louis Farrakhan is a douche nozzle & racist of the first order.
At about age 40, M. Ali starred in his own autobiography about his career in boxing. The movie was entertaining and informative. There was humor when The Beast Larry Homes tried to tell the Ali group about George Forman. When he hits you your body is lifted off the ground. The Ali group were all crabbing off at Holmes. Then later on in the movie, Ali was in the ring with Forman. He’s hitting you so hard his punches are lifting you up off of the ground. Ali was being told by his own camp to throw in the towel. Ali went on to win the fight. Heavyweights were all the news back then.
He was slower than a turtle and dumber than a donut.
Will they point out that Ali was a Reagan supporter?
“No intelligent white person wants his white sons and daughters, marrying black sons and daughters. Why would anyone marry outside of their race. It’s a destruction of your own people. I want kids that look like me.”
He drove his White interviewer up the wall, and it drives the left insane.
Iron Mike good run for GOAT..
Matt Damon was born to play Muhammad Ali.
His mama named him Clay so I’m going to call him Clay
