In the video, an 8-year-old boy who was out fishing with his family is seen being attacked by the beaver.
When the child tried to run back up the bank and out of the water, the beaver pursued the boy and ended up biting the child on his thigh.
When the boy finally managed to get up, he threw the beaver back into the lake.
Local perspective:
Several people had been bitten by the beaver and ended up testing positive for rabies, according to the Mahwah Township Health Department.

Several years ago, there was a flood on the river and a beaver managed to get trapped in the weather station cyclone fence enclosure at one of the dams. An employee opened the gate, thinking he would rescue the beaver and let him escape from the cyclone fence area. Instead, the Beaver attacked him and seriously lacerated both of his legs before the man was able to escape. We laughed at the accident report, having to say that he was attacked by a beaver, but it was very serious requiring multiple stitches and a round of rabies vaccination as a precaution.
Ain’t no dam beaver in NJ. The closest one is grey and lives in Massachusetts.
When i think of beaver that is the last image that comes to mind.

B. Why do they let their fluffy little Dog walk right into that swamp where the Crazy Beaver was just thrown like a Midget Wrestler?
Was sittin in health center waiting room when a woman arrived, walked to desk, her legs and arms a bloody mess, she explained she had just killed z fox that had been menac8ng folks along a popular beach path. She and her husband ended up strangling the fox to death, and fella had it in his vehickle for testing. He was bit up too, but not as bad.
