The M/T Hasna was intercepted by American forces at around 9 a.m. EST, with a fighter jet firing its auto-cannon at the ship when it attempted to sail towards an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman, said US Central Command (CENTCOM).
“After Hasna’s crew failed to comply with repeated warnings, US forces disabled the tanker’s rudder by firing several rounds from the 20mm cannon gun of a US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet launched from USS Abraham Lincoln (CCVN 72),” CENTCOM wrote on X.)

Iran is unintentionally cooperating.
“over my dead body”

Thats a badass way to stop a ship….
Good shooting!

That’s always been the case. This time I think this shows how desperate they are by risking a super tanker just for storage. If they can’t store it, they have to shut down the wells. Takes years to bring those back online.
They are utterly rudderless!
That pilot needs a medal. Take out the rudder. Great shooting.
I’m waiting to see the small silhouette of a ship’s rudder painted on the side of the F-18.
Agree they are more feral then anything else.
Now, THAT’s a kill flag...
The CCP needs that oil — to sell on to Vietnam, Australia, and right here in CaCaLand (per Newscum’s deal with the CCP).
Iran needs the weapons from the CCP and they must either ship oil or die.
Seize the ship as a prize of war.
Good shooting!
Probably a lot safer for the ship’s crew than having a USN destroyer firing multiple 5” rounds through the engine room.
Probably ... in any case, you go to war with the “army” you have, not the “army” you wish you had.
SuperBug was on station, DDG was not ... SuperBug answered the call. Mission accomplished.
