Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) called for Democrats to “drop” their Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) after a shooting at the Washington Hilton Hotel on Saturday, and called for Democrats to support building the White House ballroom.
Fetterman shared a screenshot of a Mediaite article from reporter Joe DePaolo about how security at the hotel, where the Washington Correspondents’ Dinner took place, was “awful.” In a post on X. Fetterman expressed that the venue at the Washington Hilton Hotel “wasn’t built to accommodate an event with the line of succession” of the United States government in attendance.

Makes me wonder if he is afraid that the worm is going to turn.
Sadly ‘THEY’ live for their cherished hate fueled TDS.
Fetterman is an old-school Democrat. Yes, he almost always votes the party line. But he’s also a reasonable person. It’s not an act.
If I got 2 to 1 odds, I’d put some money on him being defeated in his next primary election (in 2028).
Today’s Democrat Party can’t stand reasonable people. You gotta be all radical, all the time.
Two possibilities.
He’s got a more conservative voter base in his district and doesn’t want to lose his next election.
He also might be helping Democratic machine to pivot out of the hole they are in.
Or both.
Political power is a matter of office.
Office is a matter of elections.
Election is a matter of posturing as virtuous.
Trump hatred is a sign of virtue.
Therefore, more extreme TDS is a way to power.
I didn’t vote for him, but I’m glad he represents my Commonwealth instead of some bomb-thrower from Montgomery County.
He does not represent a district. He represents a state, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Or an Ottoman.
Can’t understand why the Democrats are so interested in killing a 34 count felon?
Very interesting how Senator Fetterman sees a direct link between the motivations of the lone, crazy assassin with the aspirations and desires of his own party.
They should rent the ballroom for the same amount Hyatt is getting from them. It’s Oscars night for the Karens.
Now, you don't see or hear much from her at all. I think she likes being a Senator's wife, but I would be shocked if they didn't split when he's no longer in the Senate.
…Or not ‘direct’ but ‘causal’ link?
I was just thinking about this morning: prior to Butler, the left had worked themselves into a frenzy calling Trump Hitler. After Butler there were calls for them to tone down the rhetoric, which didn’t last long, but I hadn’t heard as much of the hitler stuff. Then recently their was alot of calling him a facist brought back, like in Tim Walz speech to the socialist in Spain.
Probably for the same reasons they conjured up the absurd convictions in a New York kangaroo court.
Fetterman is actually less than worthless because his controversial statements give false hope to the right that some in the left ‘can be reached’ through reason, which they cannot, and in the end he reliably votes solidly with his own party. His only value is consuming political column inches and generating ad click revenue.
He’d be a bit more believable if he valued the most innocent of life. He doesn’t, so I’m afraid it’s all postering.
Fetterman’s right on this issue - but commies running the game will fight him tooth and nail on this.
That said it would be nice to have the new press room on the second floor of the ballroom - along with the first lady’s offices.
Fetterman is the way that Dems USED to be..a Dem that even though I disagree with a lot that he has to say, is a Dem that I could live with being President..that is how it used to be, a Republican wins, a Democrat wins and you move on, you dont have to like the one that is office but you move on and live your life, now its “I WANT POWER NO MATTER WHAT” and what the left wants is violence, that is how they want to take back power..not by saying how they want to make things better, NO, but just saying “We are willing to kill for it”
