This is the best explanation of Shiite vs Sunni. He explains how Sunnis see Shiite as a heresy due to elevating a few Shiite "heroes" to the same status as Muhammad, the final prophet.
See at least the first 10 minutes where he explains the ideology of the apocalyptic Shiites that govern Iran IRGC included.

The real inside dope on these Twelver crazies.
Thank you for the text summary. I don’t watch internet videos.
Virtually nobody understands how creating an apocalypse is a driving force e for twelver Shiism.
If they create WWIII, they win!
Absolutely the most dangerous nut cases on the planet. The Kim Dynasty of Norks is sane by comparison; they actually care to be alive.
We didn’t understand Japan either. 2 bombs made them understand us.
.
And these are the righteous and rightful leaders of Iran that Jimmy Carter, in his wisdom, decided were a better choice than to support the “dictator” Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Apocalyptic Twelvers win the prize for wackiest sect in Islam. I have seen many made up (man made) religions such as Scientology and older ones too. Such as the Aztec devils and the ancient Egyptians. But Twelvers top them all.
Mayor Mandami is Twelver via his father. But is half commie-socialist too, so not apocalyptic like his Iranian bros.
Kind of hard to claim Divine favor when your country is getting beaten so badly.
“Thank you for the text summary. I don’t watch internet videos”
I also thank you and I also don’t watch internet videos, especially if the text is available.
I don’t care what flavor.
They all chant “death to America”.
They can all pound sand.
In reality, nations and peoples may pretend to Wilsonian, UN style principles when it suits them, but as to how the world actually works, equality and respect are based on power and money, wisdom and diligence in their use, the pursuit of national interest, and natural affinity based on religion, system of government, culture, and trade.
Iran's mullahs were never going to be anything but our enemies or on our payroll, which was a key part of how the CIA kept the Shah in power. Carter cut the mullahs off from the CIA's system of bribes, which soon led them to turn on the Shah and the US in discontent and to advocate revolutionary aims steeped in Shiite Islam. The mullahs have run Iran ever since, accruing great wealth in the process. Most of the populace now hates and fears them, with Islam itself suffering much discredit.
That last is a very good point.
I don’t think the mullahs and other radicals in charge now care about Trump driving Iran to a North Korea-like degradation of their economy, if they can crate enough chaos and division in the West and it’s allies.
I listened to the first few minutes and didn’t find it very useful.
He tells us what we already know - that they can’t be trusted - that they are dangerous - that they want us dead..
But when he describes the ‘Iranians’, he fails completely to make a distinction between the Persian people and the Arab regime. I’ve heard percentages like 95% good Persian people vs 5% evil regime.. I don’t know if this is correct, but this is the dynamic I find interesting.
If anyone watched the whole thing, please let me know if he talks about this.
We all know the regime is hopeless.. we already know how they think.. the real question is… how to the Persian people think? …what are the percentages of the rulers vs. the ruled? …if we destroy the regime, will the Persian people take that opportunity to liberate themselves?
If you have a source for the mullahs being paid by the CIA, I’d like to see it. Everything I’ve ever seen shows that the Shia clergy hated the Pahlavi Dynasty from the beginning because they opposed the modernization that had begun with when the old dynasty was removed from power. In fact the mullahs supported Mosaddegh for that reason and only turned against him at the end because they felt he was going too far in that same direction.
Keep in mind that Persians are only about 60% of the Iranian people. Other groups include Lurs, Azeris, Kurds, Baloch, Armenians and others. The real question is how much of the population truly wants change and are willing to fight for it. Even at 95% opposed to the regime that leaves over four million dead enders who are armed and ready for martyrdom, at least to one extent or another.
And, the same people funded to do riots in every US city for palesitinians and other made up groups. That is why the UN labelled the IRGC as a terrorist group.
End them all.
