A Florida mayor jailed nearly two years ago for a drunk-driving crash is reportedly back behind bars after allegedly flunking a drug test while on probation.
Teresa Heitmann, the mayor of Naples, was arrested Monday night for violating her probation after testing positive for cannabinoids, the main compound found in marijuana, during a court-mandated drug test on March 26, according to police records obtained by Gulf Coast News and WINK.
The 62-year-old – on probation for an August 2024 DUI bust – was hit with unlawful possession or use of cannabinoids.
“We are aware of the situation involving Mayor Teresa Heitmann,” a Naples spokesperson told The Post in a statement, adding that the city’s vice mayor will step in during Heitmann’s absence.
“The Naples residents and visitors can be assured that the City Council, administration, and staff remain dedicated to serving our community.”

Naples is maybe the most overrated place in this country imo. Plenty of better places on the west coast of FL and countless better places on the east coast - with an actual ocean, not a big bay.
WTF happened to Naples? I lived there for a few years decades ago.
A really upscale town, many millionairre mansions, terrific stores and restaurants.
As we used to say, “The wrong oeiople” moved in. Obvious from their voting for this drunken hag to be mayor. She’d even be an awful dog catcher or street sweeper.

I’m glad she’s behind bars for now, but I feel sorry for her too. Being elected mayor would be a privilege and a high honor for most people. She must really have alcohol addiction problems to still be getting wasted in public, let alone behind the wheel. That’s how innocent pedestrians get killed. Hope she gets the help she needs.
