Homemade Playdough Recipe
Creating your own playdough at home is simple and fun. Here’s a straightforward recipe that yields soft, pliable dough.

Ingredients
Ingredient Amount
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Salt 1 cup
Cream of tartar 2 teaspoons
Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
Water 2 cups (add food coloring if desired)
Instructions
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a pot, mix together the flour, salt, and cream of tartar.
Add Wet Ingredients: Gradually stir in the vegetable oil and water. If you want colored dough, add food coloring to the water before mixing.
Cook the Mixture: Place the pot over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and forms a dough.
Knead the Dough: Once the dough has formed, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
Storage: Store the playdough in an airtight container or zip-top bag to keep it fresh. Properly stored, it can last for several months.
Tips
If the dough is too sticky, you can cook it a little longer.
For added fun, consider mixing in scents or glitter to customize your playdough.
This homemade playdough is not only easy to make but also a great activity for kids, encouraging creativity and fine motor skills. Enjoy your crafting!

Yeah!! Playdough is one of the more fond memories I have of childhood.

Except if it got left in the air and dried out and got all crackly, it was no good after that.

Back in the day, we kids had some fun stuff to play with. :-)
