A federal judge in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday blocked, for now, the construction of the new White House ballroom, which President Donald Trump has heavily touted.

District Court Judge Richard Leon, in his order, enjoined Trump administration officials and the Executive Officer of the President, “from taking any action in furtherance of the physical development of the proposed ballroom at the former site of the East Wing of the White House.”

I am trying to figure out how a federal judge has any say in a matter such as this. But then... that really doesn't matter any more.

“Now, the military is building a big complex under the ballroom, which has come out recently because of a stupid lawsuit that was filed,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

Ignore that POS judge. Separation of powers. If the President does not even have control of his own house why even bother having an Executive branch?

Did the judge cite authority for this ruling?

Hey John Roberts, this is another example of why YOUR judges are becoming despised and disrespected. It is about time you started reining them in, but then you lack the integrity and backbone to do so.

I don’t think the article makes a single reference to the reason or basis for the ruling.

It’s not “his own house.” It belongs to the American people, just as the Capitol and Supreme Court buildings do.

Given that excavation is begun after demolition, what does the The National Trust for Historic Preservation want now? Put everything back to some previous date? Which date?

This is political window dressing for the rubes in an election year.

Another DC Circuit judge who needs to be removed. A Bush appointment. Why don’t the RAT appointments ever change sides? The way the DC Circuit railroaded the J6 defendants will always be a stain upon our history. The least Congress could do is dissolve that court . Fat chance of that, they can’t even pass the Save Act which has overwhelming support from the American people.
