The news sent California Gov. Gavin Newsom, activist Jane Fonda, and their ilk into a frenzy. In mid-March, Donald Trump signed an executive order invoking the Defense Production Act, a 1950 Cold War-era law, to force the restart of a dormant offshore oil operation along the California coast.
Of course, the Golden State immediately sued — how dare we produce our own energy!
That litigation is ongoing, but in the meantime, the oil is officially pumping, and it’s coming out fast:
Sable Offshore officially commenced oil sales through the Santa Ynez Pipeline System Sunday, marking the first time the network has moved crude oil since a major spill idled operations over a decade ago…
The company announced oil began flowing on March 29, with the pipeline successfully filled from Las Flores Canyon to Pentland Station at a rate exceeding 50,000 barrels per day. That is roughly 66,000 full tanks of gas.
Once again, this proves that our reliance on foreign oil is a problem largely of our own making — or at least, the Democrats’ making — and we should be tapping our own resources and not relying on countries that are unstable or that hate us.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham visited the facility on Wednesday and was blown away:
Sable COO and President J. Caldwell Flores: "60,000 barrels a day of processed crude going down to El Segundo refinery that’s owned by Chevron down there.”
Laura Ingraham: "When’s the last time El Segundo refinery had that much oil running through it?"
Flores: "They have not had our crude in over 11 years."

Of course, Hanoi Jane is in a tizzy. She’d prefer we just shut down all energy production and put our hope in overseas adversaries:
Former President Joe Biden, Gavin Newsom, and basically every leftist with a pulse have done everything in their power to kneecap energy production in this country for decades as we wait for their supposed magic green energy sources to mature and become more productive. In the meantime, it’s not the Jane Fondas who get hurt, it’s the little guy who’s seen their electric bills explode and their pump prices go through the roof.

Pump baby, pump.

Price of regular here in Vegas area hit over 5 bucks/gallon at a Shell station near where I live. Mainly because of idiot Newsom’s anti-oil policies which resulted in numerous refineries closing. NV gets 88% if its gasoline from CA and has no refineries of its own.
There is a pipeline being built which will bring gas from TX to Vegas but it won’t be completed until 2029.
Is she still s “Christian” as she claims?
Don't they have roads that go to Utah?
Sure, Interstate 15.
I knew a guy who said he was a Christian because he believed there was a God.... didn’t know WHO the God was though....
never could have believed people could harbor such uninformed opinions
1969 Santa Barbara. Big oil slick. Do we need another?
So, is Judge Boasberg going to make Trump ship the oil back?
Bwahhahahahahaha!
I love this President so much... “Step aside, haters, the rest of the country is more important than you crybabies!”
The sea bed in that area is constantly oozing oil.
If the accurate number is 50K barrels/day, that is an increase of only 18% to what California produces.
Well, there's a refinery in Utah and several more in Wyoming. Somebody can get on the horn and order up some gas.
That was 57 years ago. It’s all been cleansed by the sunshine.
Dirty, you are anti-oil?
