Strike in Caribbean Sea on alleged drug boat kills 4, US Military says

The U.S. military said it carried out a strike Wednesday on a boat accused of smuggling drugs in the Caribbean Sea, killing four people, as the Trump administration pushes forward with a monthslong campaign against alleged traffickers in Latin America while waging a war against Iran.

The latest attack brings the number of people who have been killed in boat strikes by the U.S. military to at least 163 since the Trump administration began targeting those it calls “narcoterrorists” in early September.

As with most of the military’s statements on the dozens of strikes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, U.S. Southern Command said it targeted the alleged drug traffickers along known smuggling routes.

The military did not provide evidence that the vessel was ferrying drugs. A video posted on X showed a boat moving across the water before it was engulfed in a bright explosion.

President Donald Trump has said the U.S. is in “armed conflict” with cartels in Latin America and has justified the attacks as a necessary escalation to stem the flow of drugs into the United States and fatal overdoses claiming American lives.

But his administration has offered little evidence to support its claims of killing “narcoterrorists.”

Critics have questioned the overall legality of the boat strikes as well as their effectiveness, in part because the fentanyl behind many fatal overdoses is typically trafficked to the U.S. over land from Mexico, where it is produced with chemicals imported from China and India.

Whether the NY Slimes or AP, no one cares what you write nor does the miltiary need any evidence. The MISSION is to Kill every one of the narcoterrorists. Judge Bosburgh can order the bodies to be rescued at sea before the fishes get them, it will NOT change anything. Running drugs towards the US is going to shorten a lot of lives.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

The joke about "military intelligence" being an oxymoron is itself an ignorant remark because most of the sheeple do not understand that no intelligence agency can explain its failures (or gloat about its successes) without giving away the keys to the store.

Every intelligence agency's most closely guarded secrets are its knowledge, skills, and abilities. To comment with any specificity about the things it knows or how it came to know them could be used to indirectly determine its KSAs, which would compromise its future effectiveness.

This is why the symbol of the US Army Military Intelligence Corps long has been the sphinx. Because in all cases, an intelligence service must stand silent.

To present evidence in a public forum of how the US knew to a certainty this boat was transporting dangerous narcotics would be providing the drug runners with the information they'd need to determine how to prevent the discovery of the next run. So standing silent is elemental to being able to discover and kill the next boatload.

Since AP is saying that there was no evidence that this was a drug boat, AP should have a reporter on each go-fast boat in the water at all times, to provide minute-by-minute reporting on the activity.
