Sounds like prisoner food, not the meal of free citizens.
I know a guy who won a season on Alone. He told me that he tossed all the fish scraps in the pot and ate fish stew every day. They are correct that there’s nutrition to be had just not enjoyed.
When I was in college, Ramen noodles and hot dogs were a delicacy.
The salt content alone would kill you (it’s 1100mg, or 48% of your daily requirement). But I’d microwave my noodles and hot dog in water for 5 mins, stir in the packet of heart attack and spices, and chow down.
Now, I can’t remember when I last had ramen noodles. Why? Because I have “graduated” from the bottom layer of the Maslow hierarchy.
Upcycled food is simply a psyop, pushed by environmentalists and Klaus Schwab-types to make you eat refuse, and be happy.
I bet somewhere, some environmentalist is saying we should upcycle cadavers to save the planet.
I ate the flesh - dipped in drawn butter and mayonnaise - while she devoured the guts and the gills.
Was reminded of the old nursery rhyme of "Jack Sprat."
