TRANSCRIPT BEGINS~~~~
President Trump: The navy is gone. It's all lying at the bottom of the ocean.
Forty-six ships. Can you believe it?
In fact I got a little upset with our people.
I said, "What quality of ship?"
"Excellent quality, Sir, top of the line."
I said, "Why didn't we just capture the ship, we could have used it.
Why did we sink them?"
He says, "It's more fun to sink them."
They like sinking them.
They say it's safer to sink them. I guess it's probably true.
But, think of it. We knocked out forty-six. It actually took three and a half days.
Their terrorist leaders are gone.
We're counting down the minutes until they will be gone.
Think of it, we had leaders, and they're gone.
Then we had new leaders, and they're gone.
And now nobody has any idea who the people are who are going to be the head of the country.
And we'll not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated.
TRANSCRIPT ENDS~~~
Is this for real, or fake news?
This is pretty funny.
Cat turd on the prowl again.
“Cat turd on the prowl again.”
I do miss seeing his posts.
After Trump won, I went back on X,
I had been kicked off.
I tried it and it worked.
Maybe two weeks later, I was
bumped off again because they thought I was a bot
I count at least 10 “lies” that the left will add to their list of “Trump Lies!” His last term they claimed he told over 30,000 lies. That’s about 20 a day, a near impossibility. I always wondered what metrics they were using, but apparently it’s things like this. Liberals are so ridiculous & exhausting.
It started out that there were 11 navy ships which made up the Iran Navy and they were all sunk. Now suddenly we are up to 46. Next it will be 100. Not sure what to believe.
AI says over 30 ships.
If you look up the number and size of ships in the Iranian navy, it will make sense to you. :)
We could have given them to Britain, who has more Admirals than they have ships.
Actual defeat means boots on the ground for the US and all of Europe and a military draft. Plus two decades of fighting. Then maybe maybe you can subdue a population of 92 million. Worked great in Afghanistan and Iraq! Just scale up the war by a factor of 4. No problem!
No ceasefire. No peace talks. When enough are dead, kill some more. They will never see the error in their ways so the survivors have to be constantly reminded forever of the results of their attitude.
I went to a family event recently. An in-law with severe TDS kept talking about the president crapping his diaper every day. I thought she (a classic AWFUL) was referring to Biden at first but then realized she was suffering transference to Trump. Pure insanity.
President Trump: The navy is gone but they have many new
reefs.
Those days ended with the passing of the Age of Sail.

Trump likes to insert information not available elsewhere and emphasize it, and I sometimes see people saying he must be wrong. But in my opinion he's making a point without making statements that would be more direct, yet cause more kerfluffle.
I suspect he repeated 'forty-six' for a reason. I wonder if China and or Russia contributed ships and flagged them as Iranian, the same way those countries use ghost fleets to transport oil. For example, if Iran only had 30 ships, maybe some allies flagged their ships to bulk up the military might on display.
If true, it's possible Trump doesn't want to say "We took out all 30 of Iran's ships, 7 of Russia's, and 9 of China's."
That sort of statement might cause some disruption.
I asked AI about 11 ships that were sunk, and the 46 boats Trump was talking about. Below is their response:
AI Overview;
==The 11 vessels involved in the April 2020 Persian Gulf incident were fast-attack boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN). These small, agile, and heavily armed vessels, including Boghammar speedboats and larger, modern Shahab-class fast attack craft, are used for swarm tactics and harassment.
* Key Details:
—The 11 Ships (2020 Incident): These were specifically IRGCN fast-attack craft that conducted “dangerous and harassing” maneuvers near U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships, including the USS Lewis B. Puller.
—The 46 Boats (Trump’s Claim): While President Trump referenced 46 boats in a 2026 Facebook post, this appears to be a rhetorical claim or reference to a broader, unsubstantiated claim of destruction, rather than a specific documented incident.
—Context: The IRGCN utilizes a large, diverse fleet of small, fast, and agile boats designed for swarming tactics in shallow coastal waters. “
* The 46 Ships (March 2026) A deeper AI dive:
==”In a March 9, 2026, speech at the Republican Members Issues Conference, President Trump claimed that U.S. forces had sunk 46 Iranian naval ships over a three-day period.
—Vessel Types: Trump described these as “top-of-the-line” and “excellent” quality ships.
—Composition: While Trump did not provide a detailed manifest for all 46, related U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reports and news updates from early March 2026 identify several types of destroyed Iranian assets:
—Mine-laying vessels: At least 16 minelayers were reportedly struck near the Strait of Hormuz.
—Major Warships: The IRIS Dena, an Iranian frigate, was reportedly sunk by a U.S. submarine in the Indian Ocean.
—Other Assets: Reports include a mix of larger naval vessels, patrol boats, and “floating missile platforms”.
—Context: Trump joked that when he asked why the military didn’t capture these high-quality ships for U.S. use, officials told him “it’s more fun to sink them”.”
* More AI deep dive information on the 2020 incident:
“The 11 Iranian Ships (April 2020):
==In April 2020, the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet reported that 11 vessels from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) conducted “dangerous and harassing” maneuvers near six U.S. warships in the northern Persian Gulf.
—Vessel Types: These were small, high-speed coastal attack craft.
—Armament: Video evidence showed the boats were manned by personnel with machine guns mounted on the front.
—Tactics: The craft used “swarm” tactics, repeatedly crossing the bows and sterns of U.S. ships—including the USS Lewis B. Puller and USCGC Maui—at high speeds and extremely close range (as close as 10 yards)”
Comment: Apparently our President did not get the clear information that the 11 ships incident was in 2020. Also, for many of us who remember earlier wars, ships conjures memories of battleships, destroyers, aircraft carriers, and the like. These 11 ships are much smaller, and many would call them boats. The same descriptions seem to apply to the 46 vessels which apparently were destroyed over a 3 day period this campaign.
Probably just about everything Iranian and marine of value IS on the bottom of the sea by now. Other thoughts: The Ukraine Navy probably mostly consists of small mobile drone based vessels which nevertheless managed to hurt much larger Russian craft. Russian oligarchs seem to favor very large yachts. I suspect the Iranian Mullahs did not have that particular taste. However for the IRGC, when you add the N, it appears the IRGCN definitely becomes Boys with Toys. I can just imagine them (or Americans with similar vessels) just zipping around all over. Having talked twice recently for several hours with my grandson, currently serving in one of the elite Army services, the level of excitement and engagement among his fellows in following this war is high. While not all are eager to go into land combat, they are widely trained, including with drones, and determined to serve their country well.
