I don’t really blame Trump here. He goes go the edge on so many things he can’t ONLY have enemies. It’s really up to the people to get the person in that they want, not Trump. If Trump endorses Paxton and Cornyn wins he’ll act like Tillis for the next 2 years. Ideally he gets something for the endorsement.
