Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his pediatrician wife Priscilla Chanhave bought a waterfront mansion in Miami that’s still under construction...
The property on ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island, otherwise known as ‘Billionaire Bunker,’ was on the market for $200 million. The price that Zuckerberg and Chan agreed to pay: a colossal $170 million.
A message seeking comment from Zuckerberg was not returned by press time.
The couple’s move from California to Florida follows in the recent footsteps of fellow online billionaires Sergey Brin and Larry Page, who are the co-founders of Google. They’re fleeing the Golden State as California prepares to vote on a proposal to implement a one-time 5% tax on its billionaire residents, of whom there are currently around 246 in the state.
Zuckerberg’s future home on Indian Creek Island, No. 7, had been on the market for 111 days. While it was slated for a late 2026 completion, it now may be 18 months away from a move-in date, sources added.

The property sits on 1.84 acres and comes with 200 feet on Biscayne Bay. But there’s something else that sets it apart.
“This is a record, historic price for Miami Dade county — and the house isn’t even finished. The buyers still have to design their space,” lawyer Amanda H. Bender, of Stein, Bender & Brookland, who represened the sellers, told Gimme Shelter.
Design details include a sweeping staircase, a large chef’s kitchen and stunning water views. It’s currently set to be a nine-bedroom residence with 11 baths, four powder rooms, a den/library/home office, a media room and a recreation room.

He could have saved a ton of money by buying Mar-A-Lago.
It’s only worth 18 million.
Poor Florida.
Another champagne socialist/limousine lib who refuses to practice what he preaches.
Wow, that N.Y.A.G. Bitch said Mar a Lago was only worth 17 million.
What this shows, more than anything, is that Florida is now THE place to be for billionaires. There is a bidding war for the best real estate in the state. Ron DeSantis has been out of the news for a while as a national player but he deserves credit for turning Florida into an economic powerhouse that is attracting the type of people who will plant roots, spend money and cause it to grow over the long term. I hope he runs again for president. He has a good case to make if he gets his communications act together.
As if we didn’t already have a surplus of those.
Agreed.
Sorta makes ya think the Zucks don't really believe this whole "OMG The Ocean Is Rising" climate fraud, eh?
Asshole Leftists be fartin’ and leaving the room.
He could be a great Governor for a long time, but for the mistake of Term Limits - which assumes that they’re all crooks.
Gavin: “Aw, who needs billionaires anyway? Good riddance.”
Florida is already happily toting up the real estate tax to come.
"Zuck has to lay out $170M for property in FL"
Compared to
"Zuck has to give 5% of his total wealth to CA"
I know it's $75M an acre and it's not even done yet, but it might be a better bargain than you think.
Also remember who it is that's promising the 5% tax is "one-time-only"
See? Now THAT’S frugal thinking! :)
After he funded every Communist in CA. If you are not flying a Trump flag stay where you are.

More rich liberals fleeing from socialism and taking their gold with them.
There goes the neighborhood.
Crazy price to pay for a place.
The really rich should rent.
