After Years of Border Crisis, Small Texas Town ‘Back to Mayberry’

BRACKETTVILLE, Texas—The chaos caused by millions of illegal immigrants flooding across the southwest border under the Biden administration left scars on this border town.

The constant high-speed chases, buzzing helicopters, screaming emergency sirens, hurried school lockdowns, torn barbed-wire fences, and decomposing bodies on ranches and along the Rio Grande all took their toll on Texas towns near the Mexican border.

The border crisis drained resources and changed the lifestyle of Brackettville, a little town with two traffic light intersections in Kinney County. Residents of the county and beyond said the madness stopped almost overnight after President Donald Trump took office.

Now they say the chaos of illegal immigration has just moved into the country’s interior to places that include Minnesota.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

"The constant traffic made hunting on the ranch dangerous, he said. There was always the chance that an illegal immigrant might walk into the line of sight when someone pulled the trigger to take down game." This would be a bad thing?

This mess can return just as fast as it ended. Elect a democrap as president and watch it all over again.

All it took to stop it was one year of saying NO. No new laws. Just say NO and enforce the laws we have.

The lying maggots of the potted plant biden administration need to be executed. Nothing else will do for what they have done. It might make their lives useful as a warning to others. Why and how they walk the streets as free people is beyond me.

What a transformation.

Long live Donald John Trump for just this if nothing else.

Yes.

There is a rancher in Arizona who went through several years of hell because he fired a warning shot and they claimed he killed some illegal alien. Now mind you they never actually proved that his bullet was the one who killed him, in fact it seems rather unlikely but they still put the old guy on trial for murder.

And before you say, "it wouldn't happen HERE" yeah. It can.

They want to go hunting, not fill out some paperwork.

And I'd swanny that if there's a lib in that little town (that has been saved, we might add), that lib will vote for a dim even if it means Mayberry goes back to being Falujah.

There’s a small cemetery west of town for the Seminole Indian Scouts who were based at Fort Clark in the latter part of the 19th century. Four MOH recipients are buried there.

When I copy and pasted this story there shows up a huge ‘Top Story’ and then the link. Why are these stories not set up to show the actual story, no one would read that based on a headline like ‘Top Story’.

It should be perfectly legal to shoot someone illegally in your home, town, state, and country.

“In Eagle Pass, Fire Chief Manuel Mello said his department received as many as six calls per day for drownings along the Rio Grande in 2022. In 2025, the number dropped to about six for the entire year, he said.

Now, emergency calls to the Rio Grande and those involving foreign nationals have dropped by 95 percent, he said.

“Once the new administration came in, things started to slow down significantly,” he said. “We were getting calls almost every day to the river’s edge, and right now, I don’t think we’ve had one call in the last two, three months.””

All we needed was a new President. President Trump.

Can you imagine the emotional toll that must have taken on those rescue and police officers? Seeing that level of death day in and day out. They knew they were signing up for what could be a difficult job, but this is surely beyond what they could ever have imagined. What an unfair burden to place on them and, by extension, their families and communities.

Note that the rancher listed the national origin of ID’s he found. I think it was 27 nationalities on his list. They just come through mesico.
