CNN Frets Fetterman's ‘Off Message’ for Rejecting Schumer’s ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ Line
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelsein

On Monday’s CNN This Morning, the “Group Chat” sounded less like analysis and more like a Democratic messaging session.

Discussing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s claim that the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow 2.0,” CNN senior reporter Zach Wolf wasn’t troubled by the incendiary historical comparison. Instead, he fretted that Democratic Senator John Fetterman had gone “off message” by refusing to echo it.

Is the CNN motto still "Facts First"? Or is it "Keeping the Democrats On Message"?

Fetterman said: “I would never refer to the SAVE Act as Jim Crow 2.0 I don't call people names or imply that it's some kinds of things as something gross about the terrible history of Jim Crow.” Wolf’s response?

ZACH WOLF: I think Fetterman is the most off-message Democrat in the chamber right now.

On CNN This Morning, the real problem wasn’t overheated Democratic rhetoric. It was a Democrat who wouldn’t use it.

Fetterman is to the democrats what Massie is to the GOP.

The two differences are first that in general the GOP is right while the democrats are always wrong, and second, that Fetterman is living by his own conscience, while Massie is playing to his audience.

When the Dems and their media handlers go hard with the race card it usually means they know they’re fighting a losing battle.

It looks like Fetterman just doesn’t know his place. Each year for Black History Month I send this letter to papers about the apparent contradiction that was part of the Democrat party as they seceded to begin the Civil War.

They demanded protection where slavery existed, and the right to take their “peculiar property” into the territories. They had demanded trading their property across state lines and that states enforce the Fugitive Slave Law. Yet during prior and final Congressional debates, and in the Confederate Constitution Southerners joined near universal condemnations of international slave trading.

This contradiction vanished when understanding the South was being overrun with its property. Democrat Senator Alfred Iverson of Georgia said before Congress in 1861, “We know well that we never can enjoy equal possession of the territories without protection of our property….. They increase, according to the last census bill, at the rate of 32% every ten years.” The South needed new slave states and plantations to absorb the increasing population.

Over one hundred fifty years later black communities provide voting plurality to the Democrat party and adopt their Pro-Choice sacrament of abortion. According to the Centers for Disease Control, black women in 2021 accounted for 25% of abortions, though blacks constituted 15% of total population. Applying antebellum population growth with the Roe v. Wade decision as a marker would mean 95 million blacks instead of the 50 million currently living.

So, what benefits override the contradiction of providing the Democratic party 90% voting support, compared to the antebellum mandate for contributing 60% of black humanity to enrich the Democrat slave master’s political status?

“Wolf went further, dismissing the bill as “a solution to a problem that literally does not exist,” adding that “all the voting experts you talk to say this is essentially unnecessary.”

eh, we found a problem:

BRIDGEPORT — Councilwoman Maria Pereira has mail-in votes to thank for winning Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

Pereira and Keyla Medina received the most votes in the four-way contest with town committee-backed candidates Kevin Monks and Councilwoman Samia Sulliman. An ex-member of that legislative body, Sulliman is completing the term of Jazmarie Melendez, who resigned in late April.

According to the preliminary data shared by the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee, Monks and Sulliman won at the polls but Pereira and Medina prevailed with absentee or mail-in votes. Pereira received 335 votes total, 178 of those absentee; Medina 336, with 172 absentees; Sulliman 311 total votes, 105 of those absentee; and Monks got 300 votes, 94 of them absentee.

Pereira is among a handful of local Democratic politicians and political operatives arrested in February for alleged absentee ballot violations during the 2023 mayoral race.

In March she pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of misrepresenting eligibility requirements, four counts of being present when an absentee ballot applicant executes an absentee ballot, five counts of restricted possession of ballots and envelopes, second-degree forgery and disorderly conduct.

Her next court date is Sept. 16 according to judicial records. Melendez, Councilman Alfredo Castillo and Democratic Town Committee Vice-chair Wanda Geter-Pataky are also among those arrested. All pleaded not guilty.https://www.ctpost.com/news/article/bridgeport-pereira-prevails-council-dem-primary-21032867.php

I think the short answer is simple: the Democrats need enough Blacks to keep the Dems in office, but not so many as to overwhelm the government programs designed to keep Blacks out of the middle class (welfare, public schools, law enforement, etc.). Abortion culls the herd, which is exactly how Democrats think of Blacks—as a herd, not as a group of human beings created by God.

There is a scene in “I was a Communist for the FBI” where the undercover agent experiences a rally for blacks, and then afterward the communist leaders among each other refer to the blacks with the N word, showing their contempt for the useful idiots. It hasn’t changed.

How dare Schumer compare requiring EVERYONE to present a valid photo ID to vote, to the DEMOCRAT PARTY’S racist Jim Crow regime? DEMOCRATS denied millions of black Americans their Constitutional voting rights and treated them as third class citizens, for generations. No, Chuckie, that’s not equivalent to showing a free id card. What an insult.

Still talking about Jim Crow? So, even if you say Jim Crow laws ended in 1967 with the Loving v. Virgina decision, at the very latest, it’s been 58 years. Isn’t that long enough for these idiots to continue to bring it up?

The biggest debacle to the black community is single mothers. The lack of fathers being involved in the family structure is inherently dangerous to society.

"...exactly how Democrats think of Blacks—as a herd, not as a group of human beings created by God."

That's correct. All of their 'concern' is feigned. Otherwise, they wouldn't suggest that Black people are too stupid and incapable of acquiring ID, or that they don't care about protecting the legitimacy of the vote.
