The Last Valley - Study the Thirty-Year's War to see Europe's potential future

Anyone who has not watched "The Last Valley," starring Omar Shariff and a young Michael Caine, a vastly underrated film from 1971, should not miss it.

The link below is to the first 12 minutes of the film on YouTube. [link in the source article]

Here is another link to the complete film in higher resolution. It was recently uploaded and may not last long on YouTube. [link in the source article]

This level of 30-Years-War savagery may be coming back to Europe. If you think Protestants vs Catholics got pretty nasty and ugly in the early 1600s, wait until you see millions of Mohammedans fully mobilized in all-out jihad. Just replace the horses and muskets in the film with motorbikes, truck-mounted heavy machine guns and AK-47s. (The way that Syria was recently overrun). I wrote a Substack piece titled Motorbike Warfare on this subject last year.

During the Thirty-Year’s War (1618-1648), it’s estimated that about a third of all the Europeans living in the conflict zones perished. This was mostly from famine and disease spawned by the breakdown in normal patterns of living.

It may be worse in modern times, when untold millions of people subsist on food imported from hundreds or thousands of miles away, or even from across oceans. These supply chains will be broken during a civil and/or religious war in Europe.

Mohammedans in Europe in mass jihad mode will make Michael Caine's mercenary group seem like angels. I believe this will all kick off when "remigration" becomes a realistic expectation across Europe. Mohammedans will not just be taken to airplanes and depart peacefully. Once they occupy a city and build mosques, this territory becomes, in their minds, part of the global Islamic “Umma,” and once it is, it can never be given back to infidels without a fight. (It took the Spanish nearly 800 years to expel the Moors.) And anybody who does not understand that Muslims have been stockpiling arms across Europe for the fight they know is coming is extremely naive.

The below article is from 2016. Imagine how many more weapons have been smuggled into Europe and cached since then, especially when so many arms intended for Ukraine have been sold on the black market.

What is easier to sneak into an European country: 2,000 fighting-age Muslim men, or one twenty-foot cargo container that can be unloaded from a truck in a matter of minutes? How many of these containers are hidden across Europe? We’ll find out soon enough, and all the European Traitor Class politicians will plead that they had no idea this might happen.

The recent Al Qaida/ISIS takeover of Syria was accomplished largely this way, with Chinese motorbikes stealthily imported in shipping containers. Their mass rollout surprised the world, and this was a key factor in their rapid conquest of Syria.

Europeans must not be surprised when this happens with tens of thousands of AK-47s and RPGs suddenly appearing in jihadist hands right across the continent.

Some will say, "But Matt, the Muslims in Europe are still greatly outnumbered." This may be true, but it misses a key point. If you drop a half-dozen ferocious African wild dogs into a kennel full of tame house pets, it will be a slaughter at the least.

Mohammedans who have recently left war zones where terrorism is a way of life will be ready to go to extreme violence immediately after they are handed their AK-47s, while European men will be dazed in confusion, unorganized and unarmed during at least the opening phases of the conflict. And there may not be a second phase to the conflict: witness Syria.

The millions of military-age men who have traveled partway around the world to arrive in Europe are also more used to living in harsh conditions without clean running water, sanitation, or supermarkets....SNIP

Agree. Europe is more likely to plunge into civil war than the USA.

The epicenter of the civil war will be France. The British and Germans may be able to deport alll the Muslims peacefully. That’s impossible for the French.

The Habsburgs controlled both Spain and Germany in the early 1600s. France stood in the way of the unified Europe which would have amounted to the “Globalism” of the day.

The Thirty Years War destroyed the Habsburg dream and the modern nation state was established in 1648 at the Peace of Westphalia. But in the post WWII-era, Europe has decided that Nationalism was Hitler’s greatest crime (Europe was eager to put that whole Holocaust thing aside).

If Europe resurrects nationalism as viable goal, some nations may see ethnic cleansing and a lot of Muslims will die. But if Europe hangs on to globalism as their goal, they will become a unified Islamic regime. And they will see ethnic cleansing and a lot of Europeans will die.

One way or another, Europe will see ethnic cleansing, and the death toll will be immense.

The way to make for the peaceful expulsions of the Muslims from Europe is to kill the cost of seawater desalination so it’s profitable to grow fresh fruits vegetables and nuts in any desert with desalinated seawater water piped inland 2000 miles from the nearest sea coast.

War War maybe, but not a civil war.

The biggest losers of the 30 years wars in Europe were the calvinists. It was the calvinists who first flocked to the shores of the USA from all over Northern Europe. It was Calvinist culture from which the American revolution and constitution came.

King George called the American revolution the Presbyterian parson’s war. Presbyterians were Scottish calvinists. The English round heads of massachuttes were Calvinists. The palatinate Germans were Calvinists. The Dutch were Calvinists. The small enclaves of French hugonauts and Swedish reformed were Calvinist. They all flocked to americas shores after the 30 years wars

The horror and turmoil of the 30 Years War is one reason Germans evolved to be eager for civil order at any price.

Got that movie on DVD. Excellent.
I always felt mosques were simply armories for the coming war that WILL HAPPEN. Same for islamic schools and hospitals. Arms storage till the “time” comes.

Are you suggesting that providing fresh water to certain Muslin nations for growing crops will somehow change the heart of jihadists and Muslims? If so, I believe you are wishful thinking. Islam has been and remains a religion that requires submission to Islam or alternately - subjugation as 2nd hand citizens along with Allah's blessing for brutality and murder toward those who won't submit. 1400 years of history and today's headlines prove this point. Islam means submission - not peace.

Islam should be recognized and treated as a terrorist organization because that's what it is. Sadly, virtually all Western leaders don't recognize the Koran's brutal treatment and view of non-Muslims as evil. It is! Again, 1400 years of history and today's headlines prove this point.

Has always been one of the most memorable films I have ever watched.

Famine, i.e., when the shelves at Walmart are bare, will provide the breakdown of law and order almost overnight (IMO).

Solution: stockpiled food and ammo, similarly stockpiled reliable friends and neighbors, some of whom have medical experience.

A great history (long and detailed) of the massive conflict is Peter Wilson’s “The Thirty Years War: Europe’s Tragedy.
America’s got ANTIFA, Commies, BLM’ers, violent Progressives, terrorist Mohammedans, and Trans-Activists. All of them together can not (yet) match the violence and chaos of Europe in the 1699’s. What a mess.

And became ultra-militaristic. The 30 years war set the stage for the abominations to come four centuries later.
