If I go on TV and start swearing in Italian, is that OK?

According to the FCC, what languages are and are not acceptable to broadcast vulgarity? If Spanish is acceptable for swearing on broadcast TV, why?

Have penalties been imposed in the past for swearing on TV? If so, when will they be applied here?

I looked it up. In addition to the "seven naughty words" it's largely governed by "community standards."

Kinda funny though, my wife watches a Russian TV streaming service in our home. They'll bleep out the Russian profanity but not the English profanity.

So, a particularly spicy show might sound like this, "Bleep, bleep bleep, Mother F-----!, bleep, bleep..."

I'll look over at my wife, "That, I understood!"
