President Trump called “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie to offer his support amid the terrifying disappearance of her elderly mother, the White House confirmed.
Trump called Guthrie Wednesday as the hunt for 84-year-old Nancy stretched into its fourth day, Fox News reported.
It remains unclear what the two spoke about, but Trump said Tuesday that he was planning to call the star broadcast journalist to offer whatever support the federal government could provide.

That was nice of him to do. Trump has NO beef with Guthrie, in fact I dont think they have had much interaction throughout the years so as far as leftists goes, she is at the bottom of the totem pole to not like politically

That’s very compassionate of the president and understandable. His recent (pre-2016) background involves working with or in show production. President Trump probably knows several program directors now connected with the Today Show.

In January, she was off work for a few weeks due to vocal cord surgery for nodules and a polyp.
IIRC, they did have knew big dust-up, but didn’t remember the situation.
Its nice of him to offer help but at this point, with no credible ransom demand, the mother probably is dead. There were reports that it would be life-threatening if the mother did not take her medication for several days.
Sorry but if an average American parent has a child gone missing or abducted, the President of the United States is not likely to call and offer the full resources of the Federal government to find the kid. Catering to celebrities and celebrity worship is pathological.
Come on. Even people not called can feel that the President cares.

I think President Trump has done a lot of this over the years. I think I recall him doing so when one women was murdered by an illegal. He looked after the family of the fireman who was killed in the Pennsylvania shooting, and there were lots of stories about his concern and generosity toward regular folks before he even went into politics.
Since me or you do not possess the talent necessary to become a celebrity, we will not get a call from the president.
The issue, you can believe it or not, is that Trump

In the wake of her family tragedy, Jennifer Hudson has received a helping hand from a very unlikely source — Donald Trump.
Hudson and some of her family members have been staying at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago, and Trump has been picking up the tab.
“They are safe,” Trump told People on Monday night. “She’s a great girl and we’re protecting them well.”
According to E! Online, Hudson has been staying at the hotel since arriving in Chicago on Oct. 24, the day her mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were found murdered, and her nephew, Julian King, was found missing.
Since checking into the hotel, the Oscar winner and former “American Idol” star has rarely left the hotel.
Sounds right. Like a lot of work on her colon, where she talks out of.

He does call non celebrities like you and me.
