I think the “breakup” was to stanch the Tesla bleeding.
Elon was the one upset IMHO.
He was all about government cut backs, but wasn’t to happy about those impacting EVs and Tesla.
It’s always “different” when it’s oneself.
But that’s just how I interpret things.
