“People are too lazy to read the consent forms.”
During a medical emergency, more so when it involves a baby all your thoughts just go out the window.
I know when I’m at hospital they ask me that question out right and I always say “NO”. I also make sure they DON’T have a DNR on my chart. Or as my ex BF says “you make sure they spare no expense in keeping you alive” (Jurassic park joke there)
If you are the hysterical type, you need to know that and NOT sign forms you haven’t read. You can verbally agree to treatment. BTW , you can amend the written forms.
I also do not sign any DNR forms. These give the ability to deny treatment even if it’s life saving.
