The phrase “Woke Right” arrived almost overnight...
James Lindsay traces the history of “woke” as a mindset rather than a policy list. For him, “woke” is a way of seeing the world through a single lens of power and grievance. It falsely elevates politics to a pseudo-theology—that of a cosmic struggle between oppressors and oppressed. It is inspired by resentment, which inevitably fosters online mobs, practices cancel culture, and treats ideological opponents as heretics who must be hunted down rather than debated.
Lindsay argues that a similar pattern has emerged on parts of the Right. He points to Groypers and white identitarians who imitate the Left’s tactics through inverted identity politics and online transgression.
Lindsay’s analysis becomes especially valuable in his distinction between types of speech about Israel and Jews.
He differentiates criticism of Israel as a state, criticism of individual Jews, debates about Zionism as a political project, and the far more serious phenomenon he calls true anti-Semitism, which he defines as the conspiracy theory that Jews secretly control world events. “Anti-Israel criticism,” he notes, is legitimate since “everybody should be critical of every state,” while “anti-Jew” refers to personal prejudice. Only the conspiratorial claim that “the Jews control everything,” as he puts it, belongs under the label anti-Semitism.
Lindsay discusses these points in more depth with Jordan Peterson, where they examined the psychological traits that animate both the Woke Left and its imitators on the Right. They noted that the problem is not ideological disagreement but a style of engagement rooted in resentment, purity spirals, and an inability to tolerate ambiguity. He stresses that ordinary conservative critics of foreign policy are not “Woke Right” but that the label applies to those who weaponize identity and engage in mob tactics.

Donald Trump reacted quite differently. Asked about Carlson’s interview with Fuentes, he answered that no one can dictate who Carlson may interview and that people can judge for themselves.
We all know who is trying to invoke cancel culture—and it is not the “extreme right”.
This refers to a YouTube video posted in May 2025. I have no idea when it was filmed. Could be years ago. Peterson has been very ill and I don't think he's discussing too much with anyone except family right now.
The Left cancels people constantly.
The Right does this far, far, far less.
the only people on the right I have an interest in cancelling are the paid Putin Butt kissers.
Yes.
MarkLevin: “We canceled Pat Buchanan.
We canceled the John Birch Society. We canceled Joseph Sobran.”
That’s who is doing the cancelling.
Correct answer—in our faces for anyone who can manage to keep at least one eye open....
“woke” has another element to it...that of being on the correct bandwagon. Back in the 60s the woke feared the coming global winter. Then the woke flipped and feared global warming. Back then Republicans were tolerant of homos and many Republican political consultants were homo (because rumors would spread if a candidate was too close to a woman campaign worker). Then it flipped and it became woke to be gay friendly.
Friction in a coalition is something else. Each element of the coalition needs to look at other elements in the coalition and ask:
1) Will including them in the coalition help or hurt the coalition.
2) Is there some part of the coalition that is so reprehensibly wrong that there is a moral duty to exclude them from the coalition?
One both counts, Tucker, Candace, Nick come up short.
Losing them makes the coalition stronger.
In contrast, losing Hispanics who voted for Trump, or Blacks who voted for Trump, or libertarians who voted for Trump or Pro-Lifers who voted for Trump will clearly weaken the coalition and guarantee an electoral victory for the left.
When you roll the dice sometimes you win and sometimes you lose—no way to know until you place your bets...
And frankly 95 percent of the criticism
Of Israel we’ve been subjected to in recent days has been little more than raw, uncloseted antisemitism. Predicated on patently false allegations and premises. In short, reiterations of the base libels and Nazi- style Big Lie propaganda being churned out by the billions of dollars from Qatar, Saudi, the UnitedNazis, Soroznazi and his fronts, bought- off clients in the mass media, and the EUronazis.
Legitimate criticism based on honest facts instead of lies and prejudice — would be just fine imho. But that’s almost completely absent in the media today.
And lest we forget, the enemy started this dust- up. They won’t be permitted to dictate the terms of its conclusion.
What if a disproportionate number of those controlling world events are Jewish? Is it hateful to note or notice that?
Truth is hateful.
We should know that by now.
Ridiculous. People are responding to what they see being done to women and children in Gaza.
A lot of what you want to characterize as Moustache-Man level “anti-semitism” is just playing the comments from people like US (?) Ambassador Huckabee.
Guys like Huckabee are descending to Clintonian levels of word games to avoid just acknowledging what Israel has done and is doing.

Trump and a Republican Congress were given less than two years to set this country on the right path. About 11 months have passed.
Unlike the Contract with America, Trump has been left to do all the heavy lifting, much of which is beyond him. Gingrich had bills written and ready to be passed.
If the Republicans had acted quickly, reforms would have been in place for four years before Democrats could undo them.
With the right reforms, Republicans would continue to hold power.
They must be monitoring the posts here on FreeRepublic......
It’s called the consequences of launching mass-murder attacks on your neighbors. We CELEBRATE V-E and V-J day.
Our media was full
Of adoration for our defeat of the Axis powers —- abd yes, we bombed the H3ll out of memory German cities — far beyond any direct military necessity—- and of course we nuked two major Japanese cities right down to the burning ground. And threatened to do the same to Tokyo.
The IDF gave advance warnings for any “innocent people” to move to designated safe areas, areas protected by the defense forces. USA did not generally do this in any of our wars. Israel donated and trucked in thousands of tonnes of free food and civilian commodities to the enemy population. USA never did this during hostilities (and the Marshall plan didn’t happen until after Germany surrendered).
It is at least a double- standard, basically not honest or fair to criticize IDF —- and at least some of the (mostly communist or neoNazi or “progressive”) critics reveal a strong antisemitism. Like it or not, it is consistent with their political philosophy.
A few of the critics are “decent people seeking goodness and kindness” who, regrettably, very selectively react to some pictures — without regard to their context or history.
Apologies for not knowing how to post pictures here but — please

Go back and read the “Contract With America” again. The eight provisions were almost lame by today’s standards. And they didn’t touch any political issue where they couldn’t get at least 60% support in polling and focus groups.
