The Gold:Silver ratio was fixed at 15:1 under the Coinage Act of 1792 when coinage was bimetallic. That has only widened ever since. 20:1 sounds like a lovely goal, from my perspective.

GSR just dipped today below 70. Gold relatively stable, as Silver is on an elevator

But after FDR stole all the gold it was revalued at $35 on ounce making the ratio 35:1 for Silver. I have 50 pounds of Silver American Eagles and assorted Silver Dollars.
