The new Apple M series processors based on ARM have the CPU, GPU and RAM integrated on one chip.
The advantage is that the CPU talks directly to the RAM with no latency or delay.
The disadvantage is that you cannot upgrade the RAM unless you buy a new computer.
Yeah, I think it was the RAM.
I also replaced my 8088 with a V20.
My box was a regular speed demon after that ;)
Wow. I hadn’t thought about NEC’s chips for a LONG time. I only had a 10 Mhz 8088 in 1990, but I was still able to run Windows 2.1 286 on it. Aldus Pagemaker was pokey.

The RAM is on a separate chip.
Not likely I think unless it is at least up to DD4.
