An illegal immigrant from Somalia with a long rap sheet for fraud and apparent ties to Democratic politicians in Minnesota — including Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar — was arrested Friday as part of President Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Abdul Dahir Ibrahim was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and is being held at the McCook ICE facility in Nebraska, dubbed the “Cornhusker Clink” by the Department of Homeland Security, records show.

Ibrahim has an extensive criminal history and has had removal orders against him since 2004, according to Fox News.

Prior to entering the US, Ibrahim was convicted of asylum and welfare fraud in Canada, the outlet reported.

The Somali national was also busted for providing false information to police and driving without a valid license in Dakota County, Minn., in 2002.

Ibrahim was fined and sentenced to a year of probation in that case.

He accumulated 12 traffic or parking citations while in the US.

During this period, Ibrahim has been photographed with several high-profile politicians in Minnesota.

DHS shared images of Ibrahim posing with Walz, Omar and former Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh on social media.

It's comments like this that irritate me to no end. The rest of us in outstate MN get labeled with the Twin Cities leftist machine.

People should take the time and look at how the rest of the state voted in the last 3 general elections. Most of the state did NOT vote Democrat.

Of course, the rest of us don't have the population to balance the vote. It's like that in all big cities in blue states. Illinois is another good example. Chicago/Cook County dictate the agenda in that state and while outstate Illinois suffer (and ultimately end up leaving).

The photographs alone are irrelevant.

The guy is a bad guy period, photographed with any politicians or not.

And politicians are photographed all the time with people they barely know, or do not know at all, and often have no working relationships. A friend of a friend of a friend is there and the bad guy is invited into the photo - happens all the time, so the photo alone is no “evidence” of any relationship. It takes more than that for any hard evidence.

Predictably, Minnesota’s Somali thieves gamed the system. And when they got away with it, they decided to go bigger.....some reports say the Somali thievery amounted to $8 Billion. The housing program was supposed to cost $2.6 million dollars annually. Last year, it paid out over $100 million. The autism program ballooned from $3 million in 2018 to nearly $400M.

Somali scammers used stolen tax dollars to buy flashy cars, purchase overseas real estate, and offer kickbacks to parents who enrolled their kids at fake autism treatment centers. Some of it even made its way to the Somalian terrorist group Al-Shebab............in Somalia.
