Even in California, that’s really hard to prove to a judge.
I found some biographical info on him. Born in 1939 and out of the army on or before 1967. He created and sold at least a couple different companies and was a partner in a real estate company. I get the feeling that “disabled war veteran” is a play on people’s heartstrings. I don’t know if he was taken advantage of or if he found out who was buying his house and aimed to get more. I would need more info to tell who (if anyone) is the good guy in this.

Having said that, Perry is a multimillionaire. Perhaps she could show some of the compassion these elitists are always preaching about.
Anyway, one moral of the story is this: If you’re entering into a big deal, be sure to have a good lawyer at your side, one who specializes in those sorts of deals.

Because the story is intended to gin up outrage at Katy Perry, it doesn’t tell you that Carl Westcott is also a multimillionaire, worth an estimated $28 million.
