You have never seen Moonstruck?
The Sinatra group. So funny
It was around the same time that Zorba The Greek was a hit. Tommy Tedesco on the mandolin, amazing.
Also These Boots Were Made For Walkin'.
Texas born!
Vicki Carr scored a top 10 hit with that song, and was a staple of the “middle of the road” AM radio stations playlist for decades. She’s been performing for over 60 years.
Oh my gosh!
Thanks for the memory!!
“Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the queen of karaoke and bottom-shelf tequila… Miss Cinnabar Carr!”
Yes indeed, born in El Paso. Her real name is Florencia Vicenta de Casillas-Martínez Cardona.

Her Spanish language hits are our favorites.
Real name Florencia Vicenta de Casillas-Martínez Cardona.
LOL reminds me of Miranda Veracruz de la Jolla Cardinal, from Married With Children.
A white Whitney Houston, but not strung out on drugs......
For me a ton of sixties music is greater than the majority of vocalist music recorded today. In the 60s the best and most popular singers had very good quality tone; unlike today where the majority of popular singers do not.
My dad had an 8-track player in his car, and one of the 8-track cassettes had Vicki Carr singing this song. She also recited her full name during the recording. I think it was a recording of one of her Vegas shows.
Nice article. She’s a very sweet lady. I can’t help but feel for those in similar situations who can’t afford the kind of help she can.
“She hired a team of long-term caregivers with experience in memory care, who came to their home daily”
He's a Rebel--Vikki Carr (1962)
Good article. Thank you. Yes, don’t forget about the caregivers in your life. They often carry a heavy load, even to a heroic extent.
