Does 3I/ATLAS have interstellar headlights?
Harvard scientist Avi Loeb speculated that NASA’s recently released photos of 3I/ATLAS could potentially point to its artificial origins — and even wondered if the so-called comet was purposely targeting and sweeping meteorites out of its path. He posited his theory in a viral new blog post on Medium.
“The extended glow is ahead of the object, not trailing it as expected for a cometary tail,” the astrophysicist told The Post. “In the case of a technological object, it could be a beam of particles or light illuminating the path forward to avoid the hazards of micrometeorites.”

“The extended glow is ahead of the object, not trailing it as expected for a cometary tail...”
Comet tails always point away from the sun, regardless of the direction of travel.
It’s hard to tell what they show. They didn’t show the HD picture.
A Harvard scientist would confuse meteorites with asteroids?? Just sayin’
It’s amazing a Harvard astrophysics professor doesn’t know that! Mustn’t spoil his Star War delusion narrative.
This clown wants a TV show so bad...
A “meteor” is an object, like an asteroid, that hits earths atmosphere. A “meteorite” it a meteor that hits earths surface. So no “meteors” are in play.
“Rendezvous with Rama”
Been there,done that,read the book.
This is what he is selling
Since Art Bell is not available, perhaps Avi Loeb can book an appearance with Candace & Carlson.
No.
A comet’s tail always points away from the sun. Depending on its trajectory, the tail could appear to be projecting ahead of it.
It appears that Harvard’s STEM prof standards are...not.
Avi Loeb is just another “clickbait” teacher. with name recognition obsession. Why isn’t he presenting his information at professional astrophysicists meeting?. His discovery (if true) would be earth shattering.

Because there is no such meeting? He’s written a number of papers on 3I, have you read them? If you have not read them, how can you pass judgement? Why use a personal attack, unless you are afraid of something, like having an open mind?

He said micrometeorites - which is the correct term for small rocks and debris in space. The ISS gets hit with them all the time. It could use some sort of shield. The Chinese return capsule was holed by a micrometeorite, forcing the guys to use the older capsule to return to Earth.
“micrometeorites” is the word Loeb used. The article author used “meteor”.
Since when do meteorites come in large swarms? I call BS about all the reporting about a story that only the government is in control of.
100%
How much energy would that take?
