Thank you for your courtesy. I agree to disagree. I do not believe “Presidential” is defined by your parameters. Other factors besides avoiding pointed comments are more important in an effective President.
Overview
“Presidential bluntness has been a feature of U.S. history, ranging from Andrew Jackson’s famous, though exaggerated, regrets to Lyndon B. Johnson’s aggressive “Daisy Girl” ad campaign against Barry Goldwater. Other examples include Andrew Johnson’s gladiatorial style and Abraham Lincoln’s use of biting metaphors in his debates with Stephen Douglas.”

Then his 'announcement' makes a listcicle out of appeal to authority by listing the few attendees like Rand (who could have visited his sick father in Texas instead) and MTG (who Tommie didn't even know until TDS brought them together).
The only surprise here is that he didn't marry MTG, or maybe her drag queen boyfriend, or both.
I got rid of my philandering husband 46 years ago. I raised my two sons alone. He hasn't contacted them for 30+ years. They are now 59 and 54 years of age. He never even told him he was getting remarried and leaving the State...moving out west. I found out accidentally when I took my car to a Midas shop here. When I gave them my last name, so they could check their database, they said my ex's name, and asked if I lived in Arizona. I told them no, that it was my ex. That's how I found out the idiot had left the State. He doesn't even know his youngest son is a survivor of Stage 3 colon cancer. His loss. He never had any other children.
The only thing I'm sorry about, is that the asshole is still breathing while all my family members have passed. I chose not to bring another man to live in the house or remarry. I didn't want anyone telling me how to raise my kids. I stopped dating in the late 1980's, because I had better things to do with my time. Had I remained married to him, or remarried, I never would have been motivated to get an education, a decent career, a good pension with benefits, or any of the other wonderful experiences I've had. At 78, I can honestly look back on my life, and not have any regrets for any of the decisions I made back then.
I’m sorry that your marriage was not a good one but I’m glad you were able to find peace, joy, and fulfillment once it ended. You lived life on your own terms and should be proud of all you accomplished.
God bless you and your sons.
Thank you. Many blessings back to you.
