The Indiana state senate will not put redistricting up for a vote despite California preparing to steal the House majority. If Democrats win the House, it will be an existential event. They will spend the next two years of Trump’s term impeaching him.
Trump advisor Alex Brusewitz calls it a monumental betrayal.

I was just in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Monday, rallying HUNDREDS of fired-up patriots who are unanimously demanding redistricting reform. Every genuine Republican across the state stands firmly behind it, yet these treacherous RINOs stonewall and sabotage at every turn.
Our party can no longer afford to harbor these gutless, self-serving traitors who stab us in the back while accomplishing absolutely nothing.
The entire MAGA movement will be mobilizing to Indiana to PRIMARY and OUST every last RINO blocking these essential reforms to RESCUE our nation, this will include the totally clueless and weak State Senate President.
Will get a full list of the RINOs who are obstructing shortly. What a disgrace!”
Are they gutless or Democrats in sheep’s clothing? I wonder. When Democrats get into office, they will eliminate the nuclear option and the blue slip and then try to imprison Trump and his allies as they abandon the Constitution, beginning with eliminating the Electoral College and stacking the Supreme Court as they said they would.
They said it, so believe them. Fifty-two Socialist/Communist Muslims won their elections this cycle and Bernie is campaigning every year and winning. Cities like Seattle and New York have fallen to socialists/communists. What will wake Republicans up? Their not stupid so I have to think they are resigned to our fate. They won’t fight.

If you're from Indiana, how do you feel about it? Me, this is totally in lock step with the RINOs here in Indiana. The ghost of Richard Lugas still haunts us from beyond the grave.

Count on it. Pence is a snake. There is an effort afoot to bust up MAGA and it isn’t just in Indiana.
This is just speculation, but to carve out an extra red seat, some or all of the existing red seats have to get closer in margin. Some Republicans like the idea of an 80-20 margin, and noty having to work on re-election.
I bet Pence is behind this somehow...

I went to high school there, at Ladywood School for Catholic girls. It was a gorgeous place, an estate willed to the Sisters of Providence. . We went to town every two weeks to buy stuff. I had my hair cut thre. one weekend. The nuns went ballistic. “Ladywood girls do not get haircuts in town”. WTF??
Pence is like McKaskill-outside looking in.

The midterms are going to be a wipeout. Texas, California and or Indiana won’t make a dimes worth of difference.

I know nothing about Indiana politics, and Judas Pence and team was the first thing that came to mind.
The stupid party strikes again
I live in the First District, which has been represented by a Democrat for nearly a hundred years. In the twelve years I have lived here, only twice — 2022 and 2024 — did the Republicans have more than a token candidate: a sad sack perennial candidate who got the nomination because no one else ran. In 2022 the nominee was a conservative black female veteran who caused the Democrat incumbent to actually run a campaign. She got about 46%, and that was duplicated by another candidate last year. I don’t know if there is a way to redraw this district, or the one in Indianapolis either, to tip it red. And as much as I would like to see my district go red, I would rather see the candidate win it without having to change the rules in the middle of the game. Get a quality candidate and give the Democrats a fight.
I looked at the proposed redistricting in Illinois and what it amounted to was gerrymandering the districts in Republican majority parts of the state, with the result of disenfranchising Republican voters. But wouldn’t redrawing Indiana just result in the disenfranchising of Democrat voters?
That’s why I am not in favor of these moves no matter which side is doing them. It has become a pissing contest. We pick up a few seats in Texas , and lose a few in California and Illinois. If the results of the 2026 elections are not satisfactory to one party or the other — and they are guaranteed not to be — will there be efforts to redraw the districts again before 2028?
Indiana’s Republican Party elite makes sure we only get RINO squishes on the ballot. Lugar, Pence, et al.
The new Governor, Braun, formerly a Senator actually said BLM was a legitimate organization! He has to be spoon fed postions on issues.
Todd Young? RINO voting record. Jim Banks? GOPe all the way.
I don’t know all the state reps, but from what I hear on local talk radio, they are all in big business’ pocket type politicians, not a principled rep among them.
