These bears were surly from sitting on the ice, they developed chilblains and Polarrhoids.
If only there really was global warming, he’d still be alive.
Victims mother is pissed cause they didn’t have fencing around the facility....her son would have gone outside the fencing to get the pics anyway...but I feel bad for her, I can understand her reaction.
Peoples reality can be greatly affected by what they see on media representations. He might have thought the bears would ask for a Coke and pose with him. Either way....he was kinda’ too exuberant to think of the mortal danger he was in . Sic transit Gloria. SHTF all around.
That truly sucks. I feel for the guy. Wasn’t doing anything, just enjoying and photographing probably some neat photos of the bears. Underestimated potential danger.

I read a really good book called “The Cage” by Audrey Schulman years ago. It was about a wildlife photographer who went to the Arctic to photograph polar bears.
I think it’s out of print now for some reason, but I’m sure it can be found on used book sites.
Actually bears are in the same family as dogs. They will chase whoever is still running.
Techs on sites such as this are usually forbidden to carry guns or bear spray.
Bear spray doesn’t work well in extreme cold.
However, in this case, the propaganda had been so effective on this young man, he dismissed the potential of bears seeing him as lunch.

Canada. They would rather you were dead than able to protect yourself. Bears are less dangerous than bureaucrats. Bears kill you for food. Bureaucrats will do it for fun.
