Saw them twice in DC. 2019 - 7th row center, 2024 - 5th row center.
“At one point it came out if you played their records in reverse they had recorded a message to Satan. Not sure if true and not sure why, but if so, that was troubling.”
I remember one of Rush’s parodies when he claimed to play Slim Whitman’s records backwards and heard Satan. One of his greatest that had me LMAO.
The horror!
Although I do miss my dog and truck.
I never knew who was who in the band other than Jeff Lynne
Bev Bevan on drums? Who is the other (electric) guitarist 🎸?
Red Stratocaster @1:42
Cheesey but I love this song though obviously dubbed
I had forgotten about it until a local radio 📻 station played it about 3-4 years ago

And what’s up with the creepy guy crawling
through the women’s legs 😃😁🤣🤣🤣
Well, Yes is in a different league, so I can understand that...
In that video it’s not Bev Bevan on drums of course
That guy was with them on another favorite of mine

There’s a different video of the same show
What a stage!
By that time, the late Richard Tandy was the only old member still with them.
Here’s Bev and Jeff when they were still with The Move

Cheap Trick did a cover of it.
My favorite is “Midnight Blue.”
Wow 😲
Yep, also at Pepsi Center, 2018. Also caught them at Red Rocks and Denver’s old McNichols Arena. Sad to lose our old favorites, one by one, every year.
“Nightrider” From The Midnight Special (1976)

This is my favorite ELO song.
When I step down from ELO I’m either listening to “Year of the Cat” or “Songs from the Wood”.
I used to watch the show all of the time
Guess I missed a few
I need a time machine to 1975
Notice the red, white and blue instruments

Forgot how pretty that song is. Thanks. :)
One of my favorite groups ever!
