In the three or four porch shootings I have read about previously, the resident is always trying to justify the shooting.
"The only good option is to say nothing."
Yes.
Also, completely obvious.
It wasn’t just a noise. It was the doorknob being rattled as keys were being put into the lock.
Sunrise tomorrow is 7:21 am. It was still dark when this happened.
There’s more to this story, because what’s been reported so far doesn’t add up, at least not to me. I’m not passing judgment either way, but this is a terribly tragic story, perhaps for both sides of that door.
Especially the one about driving around the neighborhood.
The article is just a one sided, unchallenged monologue from the husband.
AM OR PM???
AM WOULD BE DAYLIGHT
True. The article doesn’t explain the address mixup.
But I can guess how it happened because my family lived in a house that had the same address (number and street name) as two other homes in the area. We experienced wrong deliveries and people showing up to the wrong address all the time.
So sorry for this family’s loss...
No sunrise there is 720 am tomorrow morning.
Sounds like you're the type who would rejoice at the opportunity to kill somebody just because they were putting a key into a lock that wasn't going to open the door.
I like it.
When I was a freshman in college many years ago, I shared an apartment with my oldest brother. The Jehovah’s Witnesses used to come knock on the door about 6:00 on Saturday mornings, which really wasn’t all that long after the end of Friday night. One morning my brother didn’t bother to put on any clothes before he opened the door. They never came back.
Rattling a doorknob is not a threat to the homeowner.
An investigation is underway to determine what will happen next. No arrests have been made.
I would also like to know since the body will be shipped to their hometown in Guatemala were they legal residents?
What an odd thing to put in the headline - of course they didn't get the key in, they were at the WRONG HOUSE as you just stated, moron! (Unless all houses in that area use the same key - rather unlikely.)
You have no idea what frame of reference or mindset the resident had before they shot the gun. Maybe they’d been harassed & threatened by a neighbor or even a stranger. Maybe they had PTSD or were a rape victim home alone. Why not wait for ALL the facts to come out before pronouncing judgment?
