I’m not a dietician; just a retired RN, but even I know that it’s not fat, it’s carbs that cause all the food related health issues. The government has been following bad science for decades; time for a change.

I’m an ER porter and I have to laugh sometimes. Patients are discharged and often told “Exercise, eat right and be healthy!’’.

And then the RNs and Doctors go into their break rooms and chow down on doughnuts, pizza, ice cream and what ever other junk they eat.

Dieticians seem to have been horriic purveyors of bad information on nutrition for decades. It’s probably because you’re not a dietician that you understand that.

THANK YOU for clarifying the issue.

I'm on the "Carnivore" diet and I do NOT eat anything but "Beef, Butter, Bacon & Eggs, Steak, Chicken, Fish.... NO CARBS.. NO SUGAR.. last readings from a recent blood and urine sample shows that BOTH my auto-immune condition of HASHIMOTO'S and my PRE-DIABETIC condition had both SELF CORRECTED once I stopped ingesting SUGAR and excessive CARBS. Also.. over that same 5 month period I LOST 55 Pounds.

I am 8 years 8 months into Stage 4 cancer. I eat butter off of the knife, steaks, burger, chicken, salad, eggs and fish. I cut my body fat, walk and ride my bike, and went from having several mets on my bones, shoulder and 6 ribs, to one on one rib. I used the medical knowledge and drugs, even chemo. I am an outlier. Am I lucky, or is my diet and exercise lengthening my life? I started out as 234 lbs. I am now 180lbs.

Carbs were my life, mac and cheese, potatoes and potato salad... are all gone. If I want a drink of milk, I drink heavy cream and eat non-sweetened yogurt or sour cream. I also eat breakfast at 11am o4 NOON, and dinner at 4-5pm.

The FDA guidelines are bunkum
