The rise of the Nazis in the 20th century was a horrific byproduct of political, economic, and social tensions of the day. It was also rooted in often esoteric and devious spiritual influences and practices, with Nazi philosophers actively attempting to rewrite history and the world’s established moral order.
Nazis created a special institute to erase Jewish presence in Christianity. The institute produced a Bible that omitted the Old Testament and completely rewrote the New Testament. Jesus was portrayed as an Aryan hero of human origin who fought Jewish people.
As detailed in Susannah Heschel’s The Aryan Jesus: Christian Theologians and the Bible in Nazi Germany, “Jesus had to be drained of Jewishness if the German fight against the Jews was to be successful.”
In the version of the Bible produced by the institute, the Old Testament was omitted and a thoroughly revised New Testament featured a whole new genealogy for Jesus, denying his Jewish roots. Jewish names and places were removed, while any Old Testament references were changed to negatively portray Jews…
In the revisions of Christian rituals that were also part of this Nazi effort, miracles, the virgin birth, resurrection, and other aspects of Jesus’ story were deemphasized.
“The Institute shifted Christian attention from the humanity of God to the divinity of man: Hitler as an individual Christ, the German Volk as a collective Christ, and Christ as Judaism’s deadly opponent…”
Beside the spread of outright lies, one of the most disturbing facts about the institute is that some of the most prominent German theologians ultimately embraced the Nazi vision and contributed to the Holocaust of the Jews. And once it was all over, many of the theologians involved went back to their church life without much retribution.

What the Hitler government envisioned for Germany was clearly set out in a
thirty-point program for the ”National Reich Church” drawn up during the war
by Rosenberg, an outspoken pagan, who among his other offices held that of
”the Fuehrer’s Delegate for the Entire Intellectual and Philosophical Education
and Instruction for the National Socialist Party.” A few of its thirty articles
convey the essentials:
1. The National Reich Church of Germany categorically claims the
exclusive right and the exclusive power to control all churches
within the borders of the Reich: it declares these to be national
churches of the German Reich.
5. The National Church is determined to exterminate irrevoca-
bly . . . the strange and foreign Christian faiths imported into
Germany in the ill-omened year 800.
7. The National Church has no scribes, pastors, chaplains or
priests, but National Reich orators are to speak in them.
13. The National church demands immediate cessation of the pub-
lishing and dissemination of the Bible in Germany . . .
14. The National Church declares that to it, and therefore to the
German nation, it has been decided that the Fuehrer’s Mein
Kampf is the greatest of all documents. It . . . not only contains
the greatest but it embodies the purest and truest ethics for the
present and future life of our nation.
18. The National Church will clear away from its altars all cruci-
fixes, Bibles and pictures of saints.
19. On the altars there must be nothing but Mein Kampf (to the
German nation and therefore to God the most sacred book)
and to the left of the altar a sword.
30. On the day of its foundation, the Christian Cross must be re-
moved from all churches, cathedrals and chapels . . . and it
must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the
swastika.

Hitler planned on, and began Nazifying all churches in Germany.
China is doing something similar to create a “communist friendly Jesus” and Bible. Such efforts involve a great deal of butchery of God’s Word.
Thomas Jefferson had his own version of the bible.
He was a unitarian and didn’t believe Jesus was fully God.
John Adams was a unitarian too.
They were the liberal wing of the founding fathers.
But it was the conservatives among the founders who wrote the constitution and much of the papers around it that provided for the enumeration and balance of powers.

Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas were great as “The Vikings”, the director was smart enough to have them not wear their Yarmulkes on screen, which was brilliant of him.
Even if Gibson were not the director, “Aryan Jesus” and validating it is problematic. As is the rise of anti-Semitism on the part of some conservatives…It goes beyond critique of Israel because it pre-existed its founding in 1948. The final point of the article above is the warning: that many respectable Christian theologians caved to the propaganda, and were able to return to church after the war with zero call for repentance or public disavowal.
