“I have never seen anything like this in 30 years,” says Mrinalini Batra, a higher studies counsellor who has helped dozens of Indian students find their way into America’s most prestigious universities.
Batra is referring to a slew of measures enacted by the US President Donald Trump administration in recent months, from time-limiting foreign student visas and hiking H1B visa fees to demanding a 15% cap on international students at US universities. Taken together, the measures seem to mark a concerted effort to restrict the number of foreign students entering America.

“The US is just not an option for us anymore. We just felt that the stress and tension for our child were not worth it. This year, many kids studying in America just didn’t come back home for holidays because they weren’t sure if they would be allowed to re-enter. My son is already studying in America but my daughter will be going to study in the UK,” said one parent speaking to HT on the condition of anonymity.

“I know a friend who took $80,000 in debt to get a master’s degree in architecture from a top US university and now her US firm has told her they will not sponsor her for a visa. So she’s going to come back to India. It’s definitely something I have to consider,” says one Indian student who is looking at studying MBA in America.

Scholarships that should go to American citizens here instead of arrogant foreigners from India.
Good. And take your Indian Food restaurants with you. Too many popping up here in North Texas. Now the Mexicans , that’s a different story. Mexican Food can stay.
If we essentially ban foreign tech workers then we need to fix our education establishment to train our own people. Unfortunately, the unions are dragging us to mediocrity at best…

- Unlimited test retakes - No zeros for missing work - No homework, homework’s is excluded from final grades - No late penalties - No required participation
“In short, everyone passes and more than half of US public schools have already adopted at least one of these policies and some districts have adopted all of them
They’re learning a hard lesson that their caste system is TRUMPED by America first.
I’ll say this though, personally speaking, of all the immigrants I have the least problem with them. As far as behavior and conduct go they seem to be pretty well behaved compared to others.
WINNING!
But, that said, they take university slots and jobs that could have gone to Americans.
If companies can't find good engineers, they can do what Palantir is doing in its Meritocracy Fellowship/Intern Program—hire top students right out of high school as interns and train them for such jobs.
The goal is to give top students direct, real-world experience with Palantir’s engineering and data teams—bypassing traditional university pathways. Kids earn about $5,000 a month as interns and the best ones are hired permanently. The program reflects Palantir’s belief that ability and performance matter more than a university degree.
India’s cherished caste system is antithetical to everything America stands for.

They’re at least not the ones making us pay for their healthcare or committing crimes across the country.
But yeah, good news for American workers.
One less H1B = 4 fewer Indian anchor babies.
Money is the answer. Higher wages beget more DOMESTIC supply. Supply and demand applies to labor, apples, cars EVERYTHING.
4 fewer extreme racists.
