Those are the same conditions that my grandparents and my husband’s grandfather had to sign when they were coming to the U.S.
None of them ever had welfare.
When I was growing up, “welfare” was like a dirty word. You worked multiple jobs to keep food on the table, if that’s what it took.
When I went out on my own at the age of 18, I worked min wage jobs to make ends meet. I have been cold, hungry and without and it made me more determined to do better. That attitude has been removed with the ease of welfare. Kicking these parasites out is a good start.
