"Julia’s House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity," the children's hospice said
Sarah Ferguson has been dropped as the patron of multiple charitable organizations after it emerged that she sent an email to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 apologizing for publicly disowning him.
On Sept. 22, the children's hospice Julia's House announced that it was parting ways with the Duchess of York, 65, after news of the email was released over the weekend.
"Following the information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York’s correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity. We have advised the Duchess of York of this decision and thank her for her past support," Julia's House said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Who - Janine Henni and Simon Perry?
The Hanovers.
Just being royal doesn’t make one worshipable. Being a good person like Kate makes one respected and well thought of. Being a bad person like Harry or Meghan makes one looked down on. Being an environmental obsessive like Charles and William is just sad. But at least they mitigate that by being truly concerned with the well being of others. And by being nice to Trump.
Personally, I worship Trump. The royals can only envy Trump’s fan base. They wouldn’t shake Madison Square Garden like he does.
What makes you think she is a good person? If she was a good person, she wouldn’t have married into those creeps. She is no better than Meghan or Dianna.
What about the Hanunders?
Nobody EVER talks about the Hanunders...
Well, to me, only G-d id worshipable. Not any politician, and certainly not a royal family.
Release the the Epstein files and expose these pedophiles. It makes no sense at all that these Republicans are delaying this to protect Clinton.
People look past the good person or not part.
My Grandfather always said, if the roof’s rusty, the basement’s going to be wet.
That’s your right to your opinion. I disagree while supporting you having a different opinion than mine.
I do follow the royals and have enjoyed them since grandfather brought back a royal coach toy from Elizabeth’s coronation. I read their ups and their downs and cheer their successes and feel sad when they fail. I appreciate people who are kind, and that’s an adjective I would easily apply to Kate. She loves children and wants to raise good people who are healthy and happy. That’s probably why her event with Melania went so well. They both love children and aim many of their charitable efforts in that direction. They look to a future that’s only good if our children can grow up to be good people and pass that on to yet another generation.
Each to their own. I adore Trump. No one else has to.
Why do we have to worship them, just because the media always tells us?
I have NEVER read an article - and I read extensively - suggesting ANYONE worships them. I’ve read fan articles where the writer obviously does, but fans always love the object of their fandom. I love Captain Kirk and Mr Spock. That’s different than worshipping them. May they live long and prosper.
> I still don’t understand why so many Freepers worship these people. <
It’s really odd. A certain percentage of the population simply must have betters, people to admire and adore: Royalty, sports figures, actors, etc.
Fortunately, there are also folks who are quite willing to mock such “heroes”. And in the US anyway, that mocking crowd is quite large.
In related news …
Sarah, Her Grace the Duchess of York, picks up a noble lady friend in a horse-drawn carriage. As they are ambling down a country road, the horse lets out a loud fart.
Sarah (embarrassed) turns to her friend. “I’m sorry about that.”
Her friend replies “That’s quite alright, Your Grace. I thought it was the horse.”
And applying this to Sarah, she never has an easy time of it with people. She stumbles so frequently that she must have a hard time reading about herself in papers.
As for royal respect, you are right about that. I went to a wedding for 750 on the side lawn of a home in Newport that she was at as godmother of the groom and there was a buzz around her, even though she was carrying a lot of baggage even then. Personally, I had little interest. I’d taken my small computer with me and was interviewing people for genealogy information and that was my focus.
I was a lot more excited meeting Paul Darrow, Avon of Blakes 7, or Terry Nation of Dr Who and Blakes 7. Now THOSE events WERE exciting.
Agreed.
I thought they were the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha before changing it to Windsor after WWI?
They are actually both.
They are actually both.
Your version of the Royals is amusing.
They are bloodsuckers—leeches on the British people.
That is when they are not busy being evil leftists.
If I were a member of Parliament I would vote to guillotine every last one of them.
