The poor lady has not lost anything. All she has to do is become the unique, irrepalceable world class talent that the H1B visa program was originally created to recruit and retain.

If she qualifies for that level of talent then paying $100k is a no brainer for a company to bring her in to teh US to fill a critical job position that no American can be found to fill.

Even lower level talent is getting $50K recruitment bonus these day and top teir l AI talent is getting signing bonuses in the multi million dollar levels

in todays world, if you are not worth $100K to bring in, you are not the kind of talent that the H1B program was put in place to fill critical US tech positions that even top tier Americans cannot fill
