Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson called in remotely to Monday’s court hearing, during which his public defenders asked the judge for more time to review evidence and determine whether they would seek a preliminary hearing.
Robinson, 22, has three public defenders: Kathy Nester, Michael Burt, and Richard Novak.
Judge Tony Graf set an October 30th hearing and said Tyler Robinson will attend in person.

You had people right here on FR saying it might not be him because he didn’t have the rifle when he jumped off the building.......to me that video wasn’t clear enough to make that determination.......but they were adamant he didn’t have the rifle.....and you couldn’t argue with ‘em either.

in Utah lethal injection is the primary method, but a firing squad is authorized as an alternative if lethal drugs are unavailable......maybe there will be a supply chain hiccup for lethal injection drugs.

Utah doesn’t use public defenders for capital cases. Up to three attorneys and $1M public funds. Private lawyers paid with public (translation: taxpayer) money. God knows how much they are allowed to bill per hour.
POS Ralph Menzies has been on death row in Utah for nearly 40 years and just won another appeal. How many $$Millions do you think this has cost the taxpayers (so far)?

He’s an adult and responsible for his own attorney costs unless his parents pony up the money.
Since he doesn’t have a pot to piss in, the public is picking up the tab.
I know not all public defenders are alike, but I sat on a jury for a burglary case and the defendant had a public defender......at several points in the trial his handling of the case was absolutely cringe worthy.......we found him guilty in 20 minutes.....dude ended up with 15 years in prison.
