Ukrainian defense and national security officials are on their way to Washington to hammer out details of a proposed drone deal with the Trump administration, The Post has learned.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and its National Security and Defense Council will be working with their American counterparts Tuesday through Friday as Washington and Kyiv aim to solidify a defense agreement that would bind the countries closer together.
“Following the results of the negotiations between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, a Ukraine delegation will arrive to Washington from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 for technical consultations on the drone deal,” said new Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Olga Stefanishyna.
The meetings come as Ukraine aims to build upon a successful meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of last week’s United Nations General Assembly.

I assumed the USA would be tapping into Ukraine's drone experience. The issue is that the key components, such as optics, batteries, software probably all come from China anyway.

MAGA better get used to it, taking a back seat to Ukraine. If JD Vance was correct and Trump will send more types of weapons and then approve their use, then Trump is going to be a busy guy. Vance did make it clear that Trump makes all the decisions on Ukraine. Vance demanded Russia negotiate with Trump who Vance presents as a netural non-party to the confict as an arbiter of sorts. Trump has never be a non-party to Ukraine or the conflict. Thus, Trump is making clear to Russia that the SMO will continue and that Russia will have to force regime change in Kiev. It is all clear now that Trump backs Zelinski and that is one more reason for the SMO, to remove the Zelinski regime.
This is Trump’s war now.
This is one way in which to integrate Ukraine into NATO thru the backdoor, e.g., contracting Ukrainians to teach US and NATO forces - it is actually happening and there are already contracts in effect. Over the past two years, we have heard a lot about standing up military production in Ukraine for very purpose of building arms for NATO. Russia has a small say in these matters and they have destroyed the Toaster factory, the blender factory, the video game factory, and all sorts of US civilian purposed facilities that produced military supply for the AFU.
Right before our eyes, suggestions like yours are being effected, for the sole purpose of integration of the two military forces by design.
Trump’s straddling the line between ending the war and peace cannot happen with Trump’s activities. Vance has pretty much stated the obvious, by telling the world that Trump approves weapons and targets/use. This was an epic fail by JD Vance and thus speaks to why Rubio not being allowed to the job of diplomacy is hurting the US. Trump is going to conduct diplomacy thru posts on X and by answering questions to assemble throngs of reporters. Is it any wonder that it appears for now that there will be no Ukraine even as a rump state due to Trump’s handling of his war.
These drones aren't going to be used as weapons?
Of course, this could be fake news given how much Rupert Murdoch wants us involved in a war in Ukraine.
