Cuomo is a jerk, but he’s a far better jerk than Mamdani!
Since a non-Democrat mayor is inconceivable in NYC at the moment, I have to hope Sliwa makes a deal with Cuomo about a few things, like crime control, and throws his weight behind him.
I suspect Cuomo still harbors dreams of higher office.
If I were Sliwa I would just announce support for Mahmdani with full acknowledgment of the suffering he will inflict and announce he will be running again when they want a change.
Of course democrats never learn. For them it is always, “well this wasn’t real communism.” and vote for the next bigger commie. There are some battles not worth fighting.
