People will reject this ideology nationally if they see it applied to NYC.
I fear that if he is defeated then we’re doomed to experience this dangerous ideology on the national level.
The islam / communist alliance cannot be taken lightly.
With 30%+ communists and 10% muslim welfarists, Britain has a muslim controlled government that is applying muslim preferences in law.
We have to defeat them at every turn.

If he gets elected, the bulk of the city will try to do what it can to shuffle along. Nobody wants to lose a bunch of money by abandoning real estate and high paying jobs if they can help it
Something that will happen though is that a bunch of red diaper babies will get appointments and city jobs, adding to the devout leftists that the last communist appointed and hired, and the city gets just that much more friendly to socialists and their failed worldview.
Even if heaps of people leave, the real effects won't be felt quickly, or be easily blamed on Mamdani. There will be short term feel good wins that aren't sustainable long term, and any negatives will be dismissed in the way that socialists have from the beginning, say that his efforts were hampered, you're not seeing real socialism, and just has to be tried again harder next time.
And the next time, it just gets a little bit easier for the next socialist to move things farther along.
That said, Cuomo is no prize either. He's an entitled sex pest who killed a bunch of old people, but those are the options the people of NYC are working with.
I’m with you. I hope Mamdani wins. He will show the disaster that happens when an inexperienced Communist takes over. New York City will suffer but those who did not vote for Mamdani will leave and the ones who are left are the ones who voted for him.

I’m a little uncomfortable unleashing the plagues of Egypt on the many good people who live and work in NY City.
Yes, it may be instructive for other Americans to watch a communist bring down locusts, blacken the waters, and kill the unborn oldest sons of NY.
But in reality, the media will deny that anything bad is happening in NY — in fact a modern day NY Times writer will ape William Duranty and get a Pulitzer for saying its a workers paradise.
Anything bad that happens will be blamed on DJT. Those locusts? All caused by global warming. The blackened water? Caused by DJT personally shaving microplastics into the Hudson river. The dying cows? DJT caused global warming
By the time the story gets to real America, it will be so confusing and misrepresented that it may have little real effect.
