Nation Not Really Clear Why Comey Being Indicted But Pretty Sure He Deserves It

U.S. — Americans were not quite sure what former FBI Director James Comey had been indicted for, but they felt very sure that he deserved it.

Most of the nation did not know if indictment details had even been released, but didn't really feel compelled to look into it as Comey pretty clearly had it coming.

"Whatever it was, he probably did it. I mean, it's James Comey," said local man Drake Bennington. "I really haven't paid attention if it was embezzling, selling state secrets, or cooking meth. There's nothing I would put past that tool. I don't know what he's in trouble for, but he definitely deserves it."

According to sources, Comey was actually indicted for lying to Congress, but no one interviewed cared what the precise crime was. "Sure, lying to Congress. I couldn't possibly care," said local woman Lacy Parkinson. "I just know that creepy weirdo should be indicted. For something. Anything."

At publishing time, social media had been flooded with pictures of spontaneous seashell formations saying "Comey deserves it."

Fabricating false charges against a sitting president should be treated as TREASON, not simply lying to congress.

Sad, but true. But then, (not to engage in moral relativism), did anyone really know what crimes Trump supposedly committed? How many times was he indicted? 37?

Why wasn't Comey charged with something more concrete?

“ Why wasn’t Comey charged with something more concrete?”

It’s all about giving the “appearance “ of consequences. The system is so corrupt and the people who are charged with the responsibility are so compromised that nothing gets done. Any exposure of the cesspool that is Washington is why no one on either side desires prosecution to any degree. Just watch, deals will be cut and nothing much will happen.

James Comey
@Comey
Truth exists and truth matters. Truth has always been the touchstone of our country’s justice system and political life. People who lie are held accountable. If we are untethered to truth, our justice system cannot function and a society based on the rule of law dissolves.

I hope this is the first of several and he spends the next three years and every dime he has and can raise defending himself.

Here is the letter I developed concerning Comey.

Comey is a Dirty Cop

Consider the source before giving credence to Comey’s statement attacking the GOP Congress and Trump about any infraction of law. What credibility he had disappeared when he spoke about Hilary Clinton’s emails. He began by detailing the many ways in which her actions violated Sections (d), (e), (f) of the federal penal code Title 18. He then declared that no prosecutor would ever consider bringing her to trial.

Comey committed an egregious violation of his FBI Director authority by stating Clinton should not be prosecuted. An attorney general or district attorney possesses the authority to decide what if any crime should be pursued. Whether federal, state, or local, police actions are limited to investigation and arrest, as can be confirmed by reading any of their mission statements. That is why we have grand juries and judges deciding upon charges by issuing warrants.

Comey lied by saying the lack of intent to reveal national secrets through Clinton’s prohibited computer system absolved her from prosecution. The applicable statute criminalizes her gross negligence leaving no room for determination of intent. As such the law shares common ancestry with laws from traffic violations to negligent homicides.

Comey is a dirty cop and anything he says, or writes should be ignored.

As the case develops, my guess is that the indictment of Comey will be expanded by adding additional charges through one or more superseding indictments. That of course assumes that Bondi is on the ball.
