and buy “stuff”.
The people in charge can turn that off
and you have no recourse.
Digital ID will just create a “black market”.

This is no different, it only looks different.
It’ll be required for buying and selling, along with being able to control travel...tied to everything. Considering the UK’s lack of free speech, it’s a short distance from ‘wrong think’ to not being able to earn a living, buy anything, or go anywhere.
Virtually everything of this nature attempted by government is more about control than anything else. Barring civil war, the UK is done.
