Moldova's electoral commission bars pro-Russian party from Sunday's parliamentary vote

Moldova's electoral commission barred a pro-Russian party from participating in this weekend's parliamentary elections on Friday, a vote beleaguered by widespread claims of Russian interference.

The outcome of Sunday's high-stakes vote could determine whether Moldova, a former Soviet republic and a candidate for EU membership, will continue on a path towards the West or be brought back into Moscow's orbit.

The Heart of Moldova party is one of four parties in the Russia-friendly Patriotic Electoral Bloc (BEP), which is viewed as one of the main opponents of the ruling pro-Western Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS).

The Central Electoral Commission's decision was based on a ruling a day earlier by the Chișinău Court of Appeal, which restricted the party's activities for 12 months.

The justice ministry requested the restrictions following searches earlier this month on Heart of Moldova party members that led to allegations of voter bribery, illegal party financing and money laundering.

Nothing screams free election like banning your opponents from running. Not a Russian fan, but lets be consistent.

You'll note that none of the Zelyanista FR neocons are complaining about the tactics of the American Democrat Terrorista Party being employed in Europe.

--- "Are you deliberately posting oversize pictures because you know is screws up the forum, snek? I know that you know better..."

Posting graphics is a way of leaving breadcrumbs, a trail to follow. In the case of comment # 11, it is very demonstrably for propaganda purposes, and inelegantly done as well. The source for his graphic is:

Domain: united24media.com
Registered On: 2024-02-08
Registrant Contact Name: Egorov Artem Leonidovich
Street: Rustavi 3
City: Zaporozhe
Postal Code: 69093
Country: UA

One notes that one of the nameservers for this domain is in the UK -- ns-1659.awsdns-15.co.uk.

One additionally notes that the registrar for this domain is located at 5335 Gate Pkwy, Jacksonville, Florida.

Source: whois query of United24 Media

The source for his oversize graphic is:

Drone Strike Sparks Fire at Afipsky Oil Refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Region 26 September 2025.

While the "blaze" made for a nice graphic for Timber Rattler, the actual article states: "Debris from the unmanned aerial vehicle struck one of the refinery's units, igniting a fire that covered roughly 30 square meters. The blaze was swiftly contained, with no casualties reported. Emergency and specialized crews continue to operate at the site>/B>."

So the spectacular photo is from a fire of about 322 square feet. Less than a 17' x 17' area. That's about the size of my living room.

So, Timber Rattler wanted the visual effect but not the details to be read.

This alone shows the propagandist stance, as the news and the impression of an oversize graphic are actually two different sorts of information.

A last point -- United24 is one website, while United24media is quite another.

The former is indeed "an official website of the Ukrainian government," with a nice presidential video hosted by them. Source: United24

It was registered and is hosted in Ukraine, with the address being in Kyiv.

The latter was registered by someone in Zaporozhe, but hosted in the UK, and the registrar this guy from Zaporozhe is in Florida, all the while there are registrars and web hosts in Ukraine. Smell something a little unusual there?

This ban is as bad as the coups that leftist/neocon USA staged in Ukraine against pro-Russian governments.
