Strategically, the invasion of Ukraine has been an absolute disaster for Russia. Rather than weakening NATO, they gave it a new lease on life with increasing military budgets. The centuries old Russian northern flank strategy of keeping Scandinavia divided/neutral has been obliterated by Sweden and Finland joining NATO.

And now, their long-time involvement in Transnistria as a wedge to recover all of Moldova is flopping big-time.

It was a strategic blinder of epic proportions.

As someone focused on America and our national defense I have posted many times on how Putin’s invasion has been positive for the United States and our friends and allies, in regard to miliary readiness, he is really stuck in a sucking tar pit and keeps sinking deeper and deeper.

China can’t be happy about the positive readiness results for the forces opposing them.

For example, and there are a lot of these little things showing what Putin unleashed from the West and our Pacific friends, he woke up America’s assets all over the world.

Japan Sends Air Force to NATO Bases As Threats Emerge on Multiple Fronts

Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang, part of an authoritarian bloc known as the “Axis of Upheaval,” strongly oppose NATO’s reach into Asia, accusing the U.S.-led military alliance of inciting a new Cold War that undermines regional security and stability.”
