In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Trump: "In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!", Raycpa wrote: Gemini analysis
A statement from a national leader is not just an observation; it is an instrument of national policy and a strategic communication tool. Its goal is to shape reality, not just describe it.
Here is an analysis of the strategic implications of such a presidential statement:
### The Statement as an Act of Strategic Communication
When a president makes a statement like the one you provided, it is intended to have specific effects on multiple audiences:
1. **To Ukraine (The Ally):** The primary purpose is to bolster morale and signal unwavering commitment. By framing victory as not only possible but achievable (”Ukraine, with the support...is in a position to fight and WIN”), the statement encourages Ukrainian forces and its people to maintain their resolve. It serves as a public guarantee of continued material support.
2. **To Russia (The Adversary):** This is a form of psychological warfare. The language used—describing Russia as a “paper tiger” and highlighting its “BIG Economic trouble”—is deliberately designed to undermine confidence within the Russian government and military. It aims to create the perception that time is not on their side and that their war effort is doomed to fail, potentially exacerbating internal political divisions.
3. **To NATO and other Partners (The Alliance):** The statement acts as a leadership call-to-action. It sets a clear and ambitious policy goal: the complete restoration of Ukraine’s original borders. This pressures other allies to align their efforts and resources toward achieving this decisive outcome, rather than settling for a frozen conflict or a negotiated stalemate. The specific phrasing, *”We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them,”* is significant. It affirms the supply commitment while reinforcing the operational leadership of the alliance in executing the strategy.
4. **To a Domestic Audience (The Public):** The statement serves to justify the significant financial and military expenditure involved in supporting Ukraine. By painting a picture of a weakened adversary and a valiant ally on the cusp of victory, it frames the support not as an endless drain on resources, but as a strategic investment in a just cause that is yielding results.
### Strategic Implications and Realities
While the presidential rhetoric is optimistic and designed to inspire confidence, it operates in the context of the same military realities discussed before:
* **Political Will vs. Military Fact:** The statement is a declaration of **political will**. It is a leader saying, “This is the outcome we are determined to achieve.” However, this will must still contend with the military facts on the ground—Russia’s defensive fortifications, its large reserves of manpower, and the immense difficulty of large-scale offensive operations.
* **Creating a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy:** The ultimate goal of such a statement is to help create the conditions for its own success. By guaranteeing support, it encourages Ukraine to plan for longer-term, more ambitious operations. By projecting Russian weakness, it may deter wavering Russian troops or officials. By unifying allies, it ensures the resource pipeline remains open.
* **Setting a High Political Bar:** Declaring a total victory as the goal is also a politically risky move. It creates a high expectation for success. Anything less than the full liberation of Ukrainian territory could be perceived as a failure, creating future political challenges. In summary, when this analysis comes from a president, it transcends mere opinion and becomes a deliberate act of statecraft. It is using the power of public declaration to define the goals of the conflict, motivate allies, demoralize the enemy, and solidify domestic and international support for a long-term, high-stakes strategy.
Gemini failed to understand the President. I doubt any AI could understand President Trump because they bases their responses on analysis of former Presidents' communication. AI only knows what others have taught it, and no one has a model for President Trump. Our POTUS breaks the mold. If AI factors in President Trump's use of statements, it will make the AI more confused when studying traditional Presidential statements.
ONE GROUP: Previous Presidential statements
NEW GROUP WITH ONLY ONE MEMBER: President Trump's statements.
The two are often not the same. Sometimes President Trump's statements are traditional (procolammations, EO's). But sometimes President Trump is calling people on their nonsense. Gemini hasn't seen this level in other Presidents, although it likely exists in small amounts. If Gemini used President Trump's change in communication methods as the new standard, it would make it hard for the AI to understand previous presidents.
Here's a statement from Trump's post: "I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form."
Gemini mistakes this for a sincere sentiment, but President Trump does not believe this to be true based on his prior statements, all known military history and his knowledge of European Union member states military and financial positions. This is one of the ways in which President Trump pretends to accept what NATO/Ukraine have been insisting is true, when in fact he knows it's not true.
With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option.
Trump doesn't actually see this as an option. Europe doesn't have the money to make their NATO commitments and the US is at risk of leaving NATO if they don't supply any benefit to this 'alliance'. Ukraine doesn't have time, patience, and sufficient financial support - it ran out of those things. Even Europe lacks the patience to continue the war.
PResident Trump has tried everything available to him to get a peace negotiation to stop the senseless killing. The combatants in this war are not cooperating - Zelensky/NATO work to keep the war going to get the US involved. They insist Zelensky be allowed to dictate terms to Putin.
President Trump is sending NATO/EU/Zelensky all their talking points back to them - as if to say, well based on your remarks, you are going to win and you don't need US help. Best of luck to you all.
Gemini can't understand the context and is likely comparing Trump's statements to EU statements (Trump is using their Rhetoric) and so Gemini thinks they are in agreement. But NATO/EU/Zelensky's statements are not factual, but instead are meant to keep the funding flowing and get the US to put troops in Ukraine.
But the EU has always said...forget it if the USA is not involved.
I think today...He stunned the world. The EU has no leadership.
Before the invasion President Trump had our American troops in Ukraine training them, while also arming them.
This invasion really kicked the cobwebs out of our ancient weapon stocks and barely functioning weapon production and has really helped our preparedness, along with the rest of NATO, and even our Pacific allies, Putin really opened up a mass of Western military budgeting and revamping, and even incredible geographical military gains.
I’d say the majority support neither country. One is as corrupt as the other.
How about you go to the front Shultz
Yeah, well, the times they are a-changin’.
No, Russia is not a paper tiger. Trump is using talking points NATO/Ukraine pushed, i.e., that Putin is weak. Trump is saying well if that’s true then you don’t need US help!
And India and China, enjoy the oil that kills europeans. Enjoy the olympics and elevtric car market there.
A GREAT DAY FOR THE USA!!
Remember...we were supplying Ukraine with more than the total of all other countries.
Russia is not a Tiger.
he Russian military has shown it’s self to be an embarassment.
All Putin has that is worth a damn is missiles to rain on civilians. Putin is showing his terrorist ass. The vaunted Russian military armaments are shown to be poor. The Russian arms exports are now at zero.
If President Trump continues the sanctions and tariffs and the rest of his actions against Russia and those who trade with Russia, then you can’t say he has washed his hands of the war or his support for Ukraine.
And since he says: ”We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them”, given the context, I think this confirms that he has only given up on a negotiated peace and that there are no more limitations on the weapons Ukraine can now have or how they use them against Russia.
Ukraine has developed many new long range weapons already, including their new indigenous Flamingo cruise missiles, which are tested and in production.
Whatever other new toys Ukraine might have simply means it’s going to be a long, cold winter ahead for Russia, almost as cold as Putin’s heart.
Yes. The message could not be more clear: FIGHT YOUR OWN DMM WAR THIS TIME EUROPE!
I believe Trump's Truth Social is another strategic attempt on his part to bring about peace and stop the dying.

I've had a few people (3 different men) tell me that when they were young (teenagers) they notified their mother that they were now vegan and their meals would have to conform to this standard.
Mother then cheerfully explained to them they they were now responsible for preparing their own meals and buying their specialized foods.
After a few days of struggle, they 'succumbed' to hunger and resumed eating with the family, even if under silent protest (silent, because Dad was watching).
Without the US propping up the appearance of a functioning government, Ukraine would have been forced to negotiate peace long ago, there would be far fewer dead soldiers on both sides, and more of the Ukraine's cities would be intact.
President Trump has said over and over he wants the dying to stop. He tried all available means to get Zelensky/Puppeteers to negotiate peace but they demand to behave like victors and set the terms, including the presence of US troops in Ukraine as 'peace keepers.' The US will not do this because they have observed that the point of the Ukraine war is to have the US fight Russia on behalf of NATO.
So knowing the US provides money to make their government function, the Ukraine postures as being on the cusp of victory, attributing NATO and US funds to their own fierce fighting spirit instead (they keep saying we'll win because we're strong and leave out "as long as the US pays for the war').
President Trump removes the money. NATO/Ukraine panic and bump into each other, and fall down. If this wasn't a bloody war, hilarity would ensue.
We are now closer to negotiated peace. Preferably sooner rather than later, because Papa wants the killing to stop.
Were.
I’m not sure why there is a need to go all the way to Ukraine, if Shultz will be fighting for his side as well. They can meet up in a neutral location in the US and fight it out.
“Sounds like he’s washing his hands of the whole affair. About time.“
I think Trump is becoming more engaged. He said Ukraine can win it all back with the help of NATO and the US is the key member of NATO. Trump has also been publicly pressuring European nations to stop buying gas and oil from Russia. If Trump was washing his hands of the whole thing, he wouldn’t bother.
Listening to Volodymoort talking to Bret Baier, it sounds like he wants the US to get directly involved.
I don't think Trump minds helping Ukraine THROUGH European NATO countries but I don't think he will get us directly involved.
At least I hope he doesn't.
I don't know who will be President after Trump leaves office but if we have a presence in Ukraine and we are stupid enough to elect a demonicRAT, he or she or they/them will turn into another Trashkanistan. And then blame Trump.
